Those steps worked for me. Got my timings from CL18 using the XMP profile on my MOBO to CL16 timings with my 3600 RAM.Have you tried exporting the typhoon burner data?
Upload your export to a filesharing site and give me the link

Honestly not sure, I'd think they'd probably be much the same to be honest, but rather try get the fastest RAM you can get.are the Corsair vengence as good as gskill ripjaws?
I have the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3200s. They run nicely. Stable at 3400 with Infinity Fabric at 1700.are the Corsair vengence as good as gskill ripjaws?

Haven't been able to tighten timings but I'll try export from Thaiphoon and see if that works.

Hi and welcome.Hi all!
Look for a little advice here! First off I am Gauteng based but not sure if there are any recommendations for stores elsewhere in the country that ship, I don't mind doing that if they come highly recommended
So my budget for a new gaming rig is around R30000. Obviously the offers from Evetech are pretty attractive, but I am a little concerned about their poor customer service reviews... Should I just go for it? Waiting for them to reply now regarding whether they have stock or not. (I have 2 friends that have bought gaming rigs from them with no complaints!)
Specs I am looking at are as follows:
PSU - Antec VP650
CPU - Ryzen 5 3600
CPU cooler - Antec Neptune 240
Motherboard - MSI X470
Memory - Corsair Vengeance pro 3200MHz 16GB
Graphics - Geforce RTX 2080 Super
SSD - Hikvision E2000 1 TB M.2
Case - Evetech Trio Tempered Glass Gaming case
Any suggestions on changes to make? Or places to buy?
Thanks a lot!
I did try that and entered the values in the BIOS but it didn't run at 3600. I pm'd you a link.
Thanks
Hi and welcome.
Suggestion 1 - Evetech have as many negative reviews as they do for a reason. I for one will never use them again, despite their excellent pricing. It isn't worth the hassle.
Suggestion 2 - Use Wootware. They're solid with decent pricing and excellent support / service.
What screen will you be using? What resolution?
The only thing I would change would be to add additional storage - 1TB doesn't last very long these days.
Don't fall for this trapHi all!

@ponder - feel like helping me with some Thaiphoon goodness? Having exactly zero luck with timings and whatnot.
Thanks for your reply!
I will be adding some storage from my current PC - a regular 1TB HDD. I am using a Dell 144HZ monitor at 1080p at the moment. Happy to stick with that at least for now!
I have checked wootware out, but a whole lot of what I want doesn't appear to be in stock? Do they have decent lead times? And I see rebeltech appears to be no more
It has been many many years since I have bought a gaming rig!

You can Teamviewer in if you like. It's a bit hard without access, you need to fiddle around & keep trying. Sometimes you just can't squeeze more. Yours is better than rated already. Have you tried exporting from typhoon and importing to dram calculator yet?
