Just to add make sure you use a decent USB stick. I battled my ass off before trying to flash the bios with only led feedback. Eventually I tried different USB sticks, by the 3rd one it worked.

So I opted for the ASUS A520 TUF Gaming
I saw a YouTube video stating that the USB drive must be MBR formatted and not GPT.

They were all mbr fat32 as per instructions, 2 simply would not work for flashing the bios.
I'm struggling to update my Asus A520 TUF Gaming II motherboard. It says Ryzen 5000 ready but it's not working with the 5500 out the box.
Must I do the update with a brand new memory stick?

What is happening? Could you get an old chip to flash it
No access to an old chip. When I do the flashback button, it just goes solid green.

Perhaps you'll need to go to a pc shop for them to flash it for you.

By the way where did you get it from and cost? Want to look at updating my son's machine from his old 1600af,can't believe it's 3 years old already

I would need to use it for the 1600af want to move it to another case, but will see how it goes.
