If you have a 3D printer?

Wouldn't this work?

Thanks, that looks like it would be a simple fix.

Yes, it will be mainly used for gaming. I have a 27" 4k monitor.
Sorry for my ignorant questions, how could a 13100f be better?
Arent it about core and threads?
I would rather go for this. It is a generation older, and DDR4, but DDR5 isn't much of a performance gain at all so not really worth the extra expense.

The 5800X3D is a much faster CPU and the package works out cheaper overall, so you can save towards a new GPU or what have you.

I use my front fans as an anti sag :X3:

Fractal Meshify C is not a large case, so a 3 fan 3070ti is a tight fit. But it is actually quite effective. No vibration issues either.

I like the PCV pipe idea. You can make it perfect, and costs very little.

I actually bought one of those Deep Cool jobbies that Lupus linked, but never used it.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, I think I might just go with this.
Will maybe add a case or get a new chair.

The one thing that still bothers me if I switch to AMD is whether my graphics card will work when I turn on the PC or if is there something I should do beforehand?

Given the degree of change in your hardware, you’ll definitely want to do a fresh windows installation, so there won’t be any issue with things working (assuming they already do).

One question I have is what power supply do you have?

If you get a chair, get a real chair, not a gaming chair. Gaming chairs are very bad quality generally - as chairs - rather get yourself a decent office chair or similar. They’re usually better quality and better for your back.

Thanks, will do a clean install then.

I've a Super Flower 650w plus gold power supply. I asume this will be able to do the job as the TDP is 105w?

Yes, thanks will definitely get a proper office chair.

I was looking at it, as my old RX580 used to sag, but my 1660ti, 2060 super and 3070ti don't seem to.

Yep, I have the same PSU and it happily powers my 3070 and 7800x3D so it should power yours no problem.

I dont want to start a new thread, but this one seems semi appropriate.

Can you buy Intel P or preferably H-series laptops, that aren't "gaming" laptops. (Even AMD would be acceptable)
Basically powerful office machines.

I've discovered that we are procuring U-series laptops for developers, which is totally not the correct workload for these laptops.

Dont suggest MacBook Pro's please :)

New shiny PC, windows 10 pro, on restart I have ' BSOD inaccessible boot device' rerun screen.
Reseat, all main hardware shows up in BIOS.

BIOS locked in secure mode, won't see Flash drive to boot from for reinstall...

ASUS se ma se ....

Aahh the joys of getting back to PC

The Dell XPS laptop I had was an 6 core H series in an ultrabook chassis. Latitude / Inspiron should have the same options.
The Surface Studio laptop I have now is also i7 H series, but only 4 core :(

These are older generations, but I see no reason why the latest gen won't be the same.

Yep U series useless most definitely, our developers were suffering with them:(

Ended up with wootbooks with ryzen cpus.

Even this would do a great job.

It might be an i5, but wipes the floor with a i7 U, and also isnt 40K+ :)

After all the vacillating and tinkering, I am more than happy.
Playing Atomic Heart, running at MAX for the resolution I built for, and then seeing MAX CAP 300FPS in the settings.

Never thought I would be that guy :sneaky:

Hi guys

Have a big issue with my new system

Just built it today since I had free time

However , as soon as I launch any games the GPU just crashes

It was fine for about 30 minutes and crashed now it doesn’t last 2 minutes in game

When restarting the machine, the AMD drivers say that a windows update has uninstalled the graphics card drivers (which sounds correct because it reverts to Microsoft basic display adapter ) but it has done this twice now

Specs :
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
Asus ROG B550-F motherboard
16GB of DDR4 3600
EVGA 850w Supernova 80+ Gold
Samsung 980 M.2 500GB
AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT
