If it helps I am on a custom build path and busy with my Mini ITX build. I wanted to ask in the meantime, does anyone locally do cable sleeves and custom PSU cables?
Yes, but I can't remember the damn name. They're on Carb though.

What case are you using for your build? I have been on ITX since 2011.

Why are you guys obsessed with cable management? As long as it's not interfering with fans, all good.
Very true in ITX builds

Iv always had a mild to extreme obsession with Fractal Design. So my current build is in a Define 7, going to pass that down and go with the Fractal Pop Mini Air supports both Micro-ATX & Mini-ITX which I prefer from the price/feature standpoint that Mini's offer over Micro boards and then also the case being large enough to support a decent sized GPU and cooling.

Very neat build. No one can fault that cable managment. :thumbsup:

For me ITX is all about the sub 5 litre footprint. Never should have gotten rid of my In-Win Chopin considering how much they sell for now.

I miss this case....

While I am glad more people are moving to ITX which is driving the motherboard makers to build more and better ITX motherboards - the downside is a lot of those new-found ITX builders want GPUs which in turn demands full-fat PSUs.

My ideal ITX case would have just enough room for a mobo, SFX PSU, 3.5" HDD and about 70mm CPU cooler.

@RunningFromFat please take note.

No, @RunningFromFat prefers it like this - loose as nature intended:

Although I will admit it does look s....t and not my best work. I have a NAS now so the 18tb HDD is redundant and listed for sale on BoB.

The only other thing keeping me with this case is the CPU cooler clearance, however it's so close to the PSU I have the fan flipped to it pushes hot air into the PSU.

In all probability my next upgrade will be to a newer Ryzen laptop that will 99% of the time be plugged into my normal keyboard, mouse and 4K monitor.

16GB ram, RTX 3070
There will be a difference. I went from a 3700X to a 7800X3D and there was about a 30% increase in some instances, but that was also with DDR5 etc.

Do you play at 1440p? If so, a GPU upgrade will do more for the system than a CPU upgrade. If it's 1080p then you'll likely see more of an uplift, but it won't be staggering.
