Corsair K65...quite nice to type on though the missing number pad is causing some adjustment issues (didn't realise I used that "ENTER" that much).

Minor quibble...the feet are uneven :erm: Will fix that with some rubber but otherwise quite enjoying it so far. The clicky-clacking is quite pleasing :)

Leaked AotS benches for RX 560 and 580 doing the rounds. 560 seems to be equivalent to 1050ti and the 580 is close to 1070.

Looking for UPS recommendations...what do you guys use and for what devices? I want to be able to power down my PC's (desktop and file server) and then keep my router + access points running (if the power goes down for awhile).

been noticing the lights flickering occasionally so the real reason I want a UPS is for the power conditioning.

help a UPS noob out :)

The normal line interactive units won't help with power conditioning, you'll need an online UPS which will do something of the sorts.

So not close to the NVidia enthusiast cards then, a 590 then close to the 1080? Then this is not honest,

More like, "Warning, not quite there yet", pending on how correct these leaked benchmarks are. Volta is going to be big. The 1080Ti is also around the corner, and we may see NVidia impose price cuts.

So 1080ti is a thing. 35% faster than the 1080, and also faster than the Titan X, for $699. Won't ever get one, but the 1080 just dropped to $499...

Guys please suggest me a gaming graphics card for this. I am going to get the following next week:

Intel i3 6100 Skylake 3.7GHZ
8GB DDR4 2133MHZ Desktop memory
ASUS H110M-R LGA 1151 Motherboard

My budget for the card is around 2.5-3k

TIA :)

^ This. You can get the 470 for R3k but the 480 at R300 more is a better buy.

Something else to consider on the CPU front http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-intel-pentium-g4560-budget-cpu-king-review yes it's a tad weaker but a lot cheaper. Will need a b250 MB unless you got a spare cpu lying around to flash the bios on the h110 mb. Also note the impact of faster ram (requires supporting mb once again). Play with the numbers and see if it works out cheaper.

Hi Guys. Sorry if this is misplaced.. but I didn't want to start up a new thread for this.

I recently bought a 6tb Toshiba drive from Takealot that is now serving as my media storage drive. Within a few weeks, it has started making a loud grinding noise and has intermittent issues with slow access. Is it on it's way out? What's the best way to test?
I also note that since then I have been getting lots of Memory Management BSOD's ... not sure if it's related.

Send it back. Run a smart test, and any manufacturer tests before hand as proof.

RMA through TakeAlot.
