Okay, so I waited quiet a bit more than a month. haha

How does this look below, an adaption of the previously posted spec.

I would change to a 1060 3GB. R3780 or 1060 6gb
Change to 256gb SSD. M.2 Factor. R989

I have a Zotac GeForce 1050Ti, no problems. Can run almost all games unless you want 4k or VR gaming.

R13063 total with the changes, bit more but way more performance

I'm assuming the pc is not close to the router so an ethernet cable is not an option?

Yes it does 2666MHz RAM.

What do you need PCI-E 3.0 for? A GTX 1080 Ti will show basically no difference in performance between the two bus revisions. It's not something you should consider or worry about.

I'm not sure if this precludes you from OC'ing the RAM to above those values in the advanced options of the BIOS as per page 2-3. My gut says yes.

TBH, I'm a bit confused about this myself.

It does support XMP Profiles...Off to google the chipset.

Thank you for the input you all gave. It DEFINITELY made a difference. I went forth and read more reviews etc and settled on the following build that I was most comfortable with in terms of price vs performance etc.

I am very happy with the build thus far and it is performing great. :) Arrived and built it on Tuesday.

So after just about 4 years without a PC (have PS4, which sucks balls and a Macbook Air), I decided it's time to build myself a new rig. The nerd in me needs it.

Now I had NO idea computer parts got so bloody expensive and had to get everything. Built it this weekend and it's freakin awesome:

Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 120 CPU Cooler
MSI Z370I GAMING PRO CARBON AC Motherboard

Looks like we made the same decision at the same time. :) Also ~4 years without a PC until this week. :)
