Hi all

I have a very entry level machine (4th gen i5 + GTX 1050 ti) that i game on.

I noticed SSDs are getting cheaper... Thinking of pulling the trigger on a 240/250GB

is the difference between a WD Green vs Blue significant in my life?

The WD Green is great if you are on a budget but I'd look for a 275gb or 512gb SSD as Windows takes up 20gbs itself.

Anyone used these ties before, need to tidy up my power and network cables?
Can they work for intended task?

Nice rig, why is the larger (27"?) monitor off to the left and not the main display?

The 27" is a Dell (IPS, really pretty) and definitely should be the one I look at most often but the Asus is 144Hz. It's also probably making me blind (it's not got the best white balance...no matter what I do, it looks a little washed out).

Hi there. What with all this new Nvidia GPU hype, I want to upgrade my PC a bit.

Current basic setup is an i5 2500-K (not OC) and HD 7950 GPU.

I want to get a new monitor (ASUS PG279Q) and a 1070 ti GPU for better looking gaming (need to finish Witcher 3 DLC). Question is though, is my rather old CPU strong enough still?

No. That CPU is gonna bottleneck a 1070ti

Edit: Just saw the 1440p which will be better for the 2500k as it wont have to work as hard.

Really depends on the individual game & how cpu intensive it is. Many modern games also really need more than 4 cores.

Thanks ponder. I did think it was a bit of a stretch, but I was hoping I could just slot in a couple of components and be ok :)
