Every retailer has issues a buddy has had no issues with them.
Yeah not too keen on evetech - I know people say they getting better but will wait and see how long it lasts before spending cash there.
What do you think regarding motherboards? Any suggestions or recommendations?

I'm still rocking 4th gen so I have no idea about modern boards, whatever I'd say would be stuff you've already Googled yourself.
Pretty certain I'm going with the Aorus board as I can't seem to convince myself to spend the extra R1k.
I'd rather buy the cheaper ASRock B450 PRO4 than that Gigabyte.
If you're willing to spend R1899 on the gigagabyte why not just go with the way better MSI B450 Tomahawk for R2089...
Honestly the ASRock just doesn't look good to me. I know it just looks.

If I'm in the R2k zone should I pay more and go for Gaming Pro Carbon or maybe look at X470 boards too in that price range?
Or is that tomahawk the way forward at the R2k price. If new gen Ryzen too expensive might end up with either 2600 or 2700x.

Yeah it's honestly driving me crazy!!! So I shouldn't even look at anything else and just go with tomahawk.
It's better than the gigabyte, there are better boards but everything is relative to price. The carbon shares the same vrm setup as their x470 gaming which helps with overclocking. Set a budget and work with it, if budget is not an issue just buy the best of everything but note the law of diminishing returns...
The carbon is R2660 at rebeltech btw...
Placed the order for the tomahawk. Decided if I didn't it would get worse and worse as days go by.

Will be used with a Samsung 970 Evo or Pro. Or should I just leave the M.2 "naked"?
No knowledge of nvme heatsinks but nvme controllers can get hot. R265 does seem pretty rich though for such a small heatsink.

Just ordered it with the mobo as I'm done going back and forth in my head and confusing myself.
Got my case too - Lian-Li PC 011 Dynamic. Just a few things to get and then to decide on wether doing full water cool or AIO for now as watercooled with GPU block works outs to R11k plus which is alot more than I thought.
Haha it was becoming a real issue.

The gigabyte comes with a M2 heatsink. I've got my little 240 SATA M2 in there for now.
Yeah I did see that which is the reason I was looking for a "heatsink" for the M.2 as I quite like the look for it it. Even just a plate to cover would have been good.
