My motherboard's on-board sound is a bit weak to drive them, so I play on about 80-90% volume most of the time, whereas with my GSP300s I typically play at around 30-50%.
For comparison, my cheapo sony in-ears are at 10% - 16% on my office laptop.

The GSP 300 is closed back (you don't hear what's going on around you) whereas the GSP 500 is open back, where you can hear exactly what's going on in the outside world.

The GSP 500 is pretty much the open back version of the GSP 600, which is quite a bit more expensive at the moment.

The sound on the GSP500s really is amazing. It has nice boomy bass with good clarity. I don't like overly bassy sound, and this one is just right for me. Being a gaming headset, it isn't really tuned for a neutral frequency response like my Sennheiser HD555s, so depending on your tastes can be slightly worse for music listening. For gaming it is the best I've heard though.
I watched the new Top Gun trailer like 5 times with the GSP 500 headphones as I just couldn't get enough of it. This is the only time I really wished that they could go a bit louder.
The only other point of reference I have is my Logitech Z5500 speakers, which is of course nowhere near as good as these headphones, which is of course expected.

I prefer open back headphones as they offer a wider sound stage. My GSP300s felt "small" compared to the HD555s which are also open back.
 
I installed a new PSU in pc. Doesn't go on and feel electricity on case when plugged in?

Yet PSU screwed in, meaning grounded?
 
Hey Forumites, need some help picking a new mouse. My CM Storm Sentinel is no longer with us after 9 years of use.
Haven't got much to spend. maybe around 400-500 bucks.
Brand doesn't concern me, neither does rgb.
Play most shooters, Counter strike, borderlands, COD, battlefield etc..
Liking the Clean look of the corsair M55, other than looks i don't know if its any good, or what the other options are. Grip type seems half way between palm and claw.

Sounds like a short somewhere. Check there are no metal items under the motherboard - sometimes screws fall in there, or unnecessary standoffs.
 
So I want your opinions, after recently getting a new system with a GTX 1660 Super and seeing the review below of the new RX 5600 XT. I want to know what are your opinions on this card and also if it would be worth the upgrade once it eventually reaches our shores.

Disclaimer: I do not want to upgrade as I'm quite happy with my card, just wanted to know what you guys think of it.

Nvidia cards perform better in Fortnite though, so there's that to consider too.

Why the hell are you building that for Fortnite? Fortnite can run on a potato. Skip gaming chairs they aren't any better than a decent office chair, a decent office chair would be cheaper but better

I saw that. But the 5700XT is faster just about everywhere else and the motherboard combo comes with two additional games (Outer Worlds and Breakpoint). Ideally he will start playing real games at some point

Gaming chair was a necessity but not strictly part of the budget. Could maybe go 1440p if there’s something decently priced, didn’t look actually.

Trust me a gaming chair is a gimmick it really is. A decent office chair would be better, 144hz would be the key not the resolution.
