Anyone know where I could get a 9900K at the moment?

Wootware is operating but don't seem to have stock..

R2299 - AMD YD1600BBAFBOX Ryzen 5 1600 (AF)
R1899 - MSI B450M MORTAR MAX
R1589 - G.Skill F4-3200C16D-16GVKB Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200MHz CL16
R659 - Fractal Design FD-CA-CORE-1000-USB3-BL Core 1000 USB 3.0 Black Micro-ATX Mid Tower Desktop Chassis
R672 - Corsair CP-9020170 VS Series VS450 450W 80 Plus White Certified Non-Modular Desktop Power Supply
R7118 - TOTAL

I ended up not skimping on the motherboard.

You can use your 1050ti until you upgrade & you can sell your existing stuff on carbonite, gumtree etc and put the cash towards a new gpu (or a used one).
The R5 1600AF is a new cpu with performance matching the R5 2600.
Case I picked a cheapie, choose what you like.

If you got a used gtx1070 off carbonite now for R3k you'll be close to your R10k budget.
Motherboard isn't micro ATX though? While the case is?

Hi Peter, I just got a bundle of parts for an upgrade, including the Palit 2070s. If there's any titles you want me to demo let me know and I'll post results. CPU-Ryzen 2600 RAM-2x8gb 3200.

R500 is a bit low, you're looking at around R700+ especially with tempered glass and ATX.

Ok, 1080p should be a cake walk then, I tested it at 4K for Doom and Destiny 2:
Doom - 80-100 FPS
Destiny 2 - 60-80 FPS

RE:2 was more of a mixed bag, 4K it struggles as the memory requirements spike to around 12gig vram, you're able to hit 60fps, but there are drops and stutters in certain areas. 1080P will be easy for RE:2.

I think overall you should be comfortable playing a few titles at 4K, with others at 1440p. For reference my setup is a 2070S, Ryzen 3600, 8x2GB 3200.

I've got a CM Scout 2 still from old LAN days, would 2 intake in the front and 1 exhaust at the back be fine for air flow? Or should I look to add 4 four more, 2 intake on side and 2 exhaust at the top?
