Mb has an 8pin connector, if your cpu only has a single 4pin plug it into 4 of the left or rightmost pins, it will fit. Supplies ample power for a 3600 etc which is only 65W

CPU is a AMD 1600 AF, will open again and check, might be that I was just looking for 8 pin connecters, and missed the 4 pin one.

Okay, I am good, got 2x 4 pin plugs on a lead, found the 2, 6+2 plugs and did not look further. Damn, but it has been a long time since I did this, last. Sigh

Thanks guys ...

Mine don't split it's one plug I had to have the 8pin plugged into the 4 pin.

Never seen one of those. Mine looked like a single 8pin but on closer inspection you could slide them apart.

Okay, other than not looking till I found the CPU power cable, I did not plug the power cable into the HDD, switched on and it could not find boot device, now fixed. Booted into WIN10, that was installed to HDD, on a Core 2 Duo CPU system. Looking a WIN10 Desktop, going to load motherboard drivers, and AMD Rx 560 GPU Drivers, then I can PLAY. :D:cool::thumbsup:

Fake news. It doesn't match the 3300X even after OC

Look at performance across a collection of games rather.

Yeah overall it's faster paired with a 2080ti (which no budget gamer is gonna buy). If you're purely getting into it for gaming it's the better cpu for now, I did see it 100% maxed out in ac odyssey which does not happen with the 6 core chips. 1600af also has overclocking headroom unlike the 3300x. Either way both are great for budget builders.

What motherboard? I saw @elf_lord_ZC5 has the same motherboard too. RAM?
I took the Asrock B450m HDV, really basic board and got the 16 GB 3200MHZ Ripjaws, with an RX580
My other system has a Gigabyte Aorus B450 Elite Pro with the Trident Z RGB 3200mhz. The Gigabyte has better fan controllers and RGB and a 2600 with 1660ti.
