Yes will be fine.

Most 1050s don't have external power connectors and only use 75W via the pcie bus so yours will probably also be fine without external power.
It's a ROG Strix with dual fan. I'm not sure if that changes anything? At the moment Windows says it had deactivated the device sure to some problem, which I'm guessing is a lack of power?

Then give it power...

So finally got my upgrade from Evetech. Ryzen 9 3900 with the A320M-A Pro board and 3200Mhz corsair ram.
Yea I know the board is entry but at least it gets the job done. Thus far I am happy. 10k worth it so far, will say she love to run hot so going to Bio and fiddling with fan settings is a must and the Motherboard doesn't have a lot of fan connectors so be warned if you're looking at it. So yea, apart from running hot working well. Did some Ashes of the Singularity on it and it worked well.

Ryzen has some cool features around power management...you can probably power-gate the CPU in bios and lose a little multi-core performance but gain a lot of temperature headroom.

I assume the majority choices of the RTX 2060 Super over the 5700 XT Thic III Ultra is due to the instability GPU drivers on AMD.

I may be playing devils advocate here but it is slightly cheaper than the RTX 2060 Super with slightly 5%-8% performance.

The 5700xt thicc 3 isn't cheaper than the RTX2060 super?
8499
Vs
7799
Along with it being smaller and a little bit more power efficient.

The cheapest board, with a CPU that is 2 years newer, and is pretty much top of the line. You crazy bastard. If it works it works.

Doubt it, it's a 320m board

Yea it's exactly what I said. rather future prove (yea I know, i upgrade every 8 years) the cpu (most expensive unit) so motherboard wasn't the greatest but hey. Does the job until I manage to get a proper monster board then this cpu s gonna power pump.

Changed my BIOS settings and set the cpu fan to run max and managed to get my other two fans connected now she purrs at 62c

I always buy budget boards, there is nothing additional I need from a more expensive board. Currently on a 5yr old H81 mb, I use 2 of the 4 sata ports & 3 of the 8 usb ports. I got a top end board yonks ago when amd64 came out, it was a waste.

Evening @Hemps There seems to be a few options when I check the Crucial memory compatible tool. https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/travelmate-p259-g2-m#memory

Could not find specifics on the TravelMate Memory speed other that it supports up to 32gb

I only have The Ballistix 16GBKit in stock that is listed as supported currently, but sure other 2666 modules will work just fine.
