Is there anything one should consider doing to make sure the graphics and cpu are putting out the best they can?? Or should one just leave them to do their thing.

Putt all at settings on max except don't use msaa, disable motion blur (maybey DOF too) as it looks kuk. Your hardware will be fine unless playing at 4k resolution.

Run msi afterburne / rivatuner and monitor you fps onscreen.

How would one do that?? That’s what I’ve got:

G.Skill F4-3200C16D-16GVKB Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200MHz CL16 1.35V Black Desktop Memory

I would first check if it has been enabled. Ctrl+alt+delete and go to performance tab, click on memory and on the bottom right the speed should be 3200MHz. If it is lower then do what @UrBaN963 said in the bios. Asus don't call it XMP they call it Dcop or something...

thanks for the tip, took the advice and confirmed that it is in fact 3200.

Get an account with Epic, they give a free game every week or 2. I have gotten a lot of free games from them that I have missed over the last few years. Not the latest but still nice to play for free. Steam Christmas sale is also coming soon, add games to your wishlist to get notifications when they go on sale. They are often marked down considerably.

Is the account similar to PS+ where you have to pay a monthly fee?

Welcome to PC Gaming, where you do not have to pay a sub to play multiplayer games. You only when you buy the games (at massive discounts) or free on the high seas

EDIT: Create accounts on Steam, Epic, GOG and Blizzard.

Thanks for all the advice so far!

My wallet resents the fact that it was sent to Epic last night. Picked up CivXI deluxe for 500 bucks.

Our town is trench warfare at the moment with the fibre guys digging. What package will get me online gaming without too much hassle?? Household usage over the years has been accommodated with an 8M line. Will 20 be good??

Any line speed will give you the same gaming experience, you will just download faster.

This is a good example for the Epic store, I have had these on my Steam wishlist for a long time but haven't bought it because I have not had time to get to playing them, now I can get them for free.

Oh and the standard Civ VI was also free a while back...

10Mbs will be fine for gaming, 20 will download those games faster.

Well, looks like the new BIOS updates for the B450 not only brings Ryzen 5000 support but also the Ryzen 4000 Renoir APUs - I'm one happy camper.

Anyone that knows how I can connect this fan connector to my motherboard? It does not seem to fit onto the 4pin RGB header.

Where else can i look at the Rx 6800 (not the xt)
But non reference cards. Seems wootware is out of stock and evetech still has nothing coming soon.

Got a new 1080ti back ( or refurbished not sure) from rectron, but this card, as amazing as it is, is struggling with my two 1440p screens, keeping frames above 120fps.

Both my monitors are 165hz.

The radeon 6800 looks like a amazing jump in performance from the 1080ti.

The Asrock B450 I got doesn't have RGB headers, you can buy an adapter that's powered by a USB header
Actually it has headers for addressable and 12V RGB as well as a single USB header for CPU fan RGB.

However the connector on my 200mm CoolerMaster fan does not fit either of the RGB header. Not sure what adapter I need.

Hi guys.

I thought I could come here and share the good news seeing as though no one I know is really into PCs / Gaming. I’m the lucky owner of a Wootware’d 5600x / 3070 build.

My question for all of you is, what next?? Where do you guys get your games from mostly??

Steam and gog + gamepass

Stock is a problem for AMD atmo...when cards are available they go quick. Best you can do is have Wootware, Gearhere, Dreamwaretech and Titan Ice notify you if they get stock and hope you get lucky.

Are you playing flight sims or something like that at 5120*1440? Is adaptive sync enabled?

No, Warzone, battlefield etc.
Secondary screen is a secondary display, not an extended screen.

I know these cards fly quite quickly. Radeon and Nvidia haven't been this competitive in a few years.

So you've got a 4 pin header? Have you tried just shaving the connector to fit? I couldn't get my RGB case fans to fit so I just cut the connector plastic to make it fit.
