Running too far below what the PSU is rated for is also going to mean it is inefficient. A Ryzen 3600 and 1660 Super is getting nowhere near 750w.

Would get a Gold rated 650w in case Matt gets the itch for maybe a 3070 but 750w is a bit too much IMO.

A good 550w PSU could handle a Ryzen 3600 and a 3070, but when you constantly run the PSU at close to max you decrease it's lifespan. A casual gamer could maybe get away with it since it will only really stress the PSU when gaming and not when using Excel. Not that I'd recommend that, just for perspective.

Intel CPUs are power hogs especially when overclocked so yeah, 750w may be a good idea if you are the unsavory kind who makes poor life decisions like buying Intel. Friends don't let friends buy Intel!

Feeling bad about your China Mall comment?

I'm of the same opinion, but ti was an insurance replacement PC and after literally months of negotiation and waiting for stock, I decided to not fight them on the TT PSU.

Yes but trust me the added heat is a no go. My cpu is not overheating but it runs much hotter than a 5900x. even with my cae that has 3x intake fans with mesh panel and the gpu is also watercooled with g12 and set as exhaust so even that is not heating the case. So GPU rad at back as exhaust and cpu on top also exhaust front 3x intake fans.
have you tried front CPU radiator?

Dammit, too slow  I see!

You need to cut back your power limit and Core clock if you want to make that efficient. My 3070 is currently sitting at 119w.
Yeah just checking I heard can 50mh tweaking I also run 3 monitors which limits it a bit. Thought 3060 10500 where 3070 isn17k plus

Pull the monitors when mining. I’m at 50% power limit, thermal limit 70, core clock -200, memory +1300. Averages 60MH/s depending on difficulty etc.

I can't install it in the front. my case actually only supports 2x front. I have the enthoo pro and then 3d printed a bracket for a 120mm fan in the front at the 5.25" bays so that I can get a little bit more airflow. What I need to do is replace the one fffront fan as it's making a whine noise and it's spinning at 1500rpm only instead of rated 1700RPM.

Really keen on a 3060ti but doubt there will be any stock soon, 3060 seems the most reasonable priced card at the movement

The 3060 Ti is made from defective 3070's or if 3070's aren't selling, then Nvidia can decide to make more Ti's than would normally come from defective 3070 dies.

With all graphics cards selling like hot cakes, there's no incentive for Nvidia to allocate functioning 3070 dies to sell at 3060 Ti prices. Doesn't make sense money-wise and the defect rates must be low because that card came into stock and disappeared.

The 3060 is not the little brother to any other cards (has its own die) so supply should be better.

If you can, see if you can get a 2060 super, the 3060 doesn't beat that yet.

The performance of the 3060ti a lot better than the 3060 but supply is the issue. I can wait a month or two but doesn't help waiting till 2022, guess the 3060 is the best value for money you can buy at the moment and probably this year

3060 back in stock , but they increased the price and up limit 2 per person. Guess they know 3060 can mine now.

Saw a video where you can mine it but it only works in the 1st PCI slot so you can't use it with a rig
