Forgive Me If, I'm Posting In The Wrong Place..
I Have/Am Coming From A 2012 - i3 (2820/2028)
Acer E1-571 & Was Wondering, Is There Anything Within R2000 [Complete/Maybe Skeleton; CPU + Board + RAM I Can Get..] Main Use Is Music Production... Before I Am Bombarded I Know A Decent CPU Alone Is R1500, But Then What...
Can Somebody Please Source Cheapest Build I Can Get, Maybe Upgradeable.. I Haven Been Here Since Plasma vs LCD... I'm Very Happy With The NU7100 We Have As An Upgrade From The 43 DLED/Sammy Plasma We Broke... Thanks I Have Just Gotten Into Reddit, But For SA PC, The Are Of No Use, But Music Production, Room Acoustics, Setup & Equipment, They Got Me There [Utopia] or Should I Just Source A Used 2012 Macbook or R4000 Macbook, I Know R6k/8K Will Expose 2015-17 Devices, But Budget, Whereas I Can Set A Goal With A Build [Over Time]

Not gonna upgrade the laptop.

Not sure if you're looking to upgrade the laptop or looking for components for a desktop.

Either way, the answer is no, you have a better chance of finding a unicorn at R2k...

This won't be very upgradeable - RAM, SSD and GPU could be upgraded but wouldn't really be worth it. But as it is it should work just fine.

3060ti pre order open at scalpware, sorry meant wootware.

Only 21k lol

I thought buying a 2070 Super in November 2020 for R9000K was madness when a new GPU releases was just around the corner. I think the 3060TI was available around Feb 2021 for ~R10500.

I think the prices will become more affordable in the next couple of weeks (6) or so.

Seeing many people selling off their mining rigs, still at insane prices though.

Holy crap just had to check, this is the LHR version for R21500 wtf thought it would be much cheaper because if that.

Yeah maybe but still scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Hey guys, anyone have any input on if there's a difference between a 1TB Seagate Barracuda 510 M.2 vs 1TB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2? Slight price difference and slight speed difference but no red flags right?

cant really give advice, but I "trust" the Samsung SSD brand more.

not sure how much these go for, but on a 500GB, I would probably happily pay more for a samsung vs other, maybe R200-R300 more. I currently have 5x 500GB Samsungs (2x NVME, 3x 2.5" SATA) across 3 devices, and never had issues

Hey guys, which mATX case is better, the Antec VSK3000 Elite or the Thermaltake Versa H17? P.S what PSU would suit these cases best (I'm considering a Corsair CV550)?

640TBW vs 600TBW, both have a 5-year warranty. I've always stuck with Samsung I guess, so...

I have the exact same sentiment with Samsung so I have my answer, heh. Rather stick with what works right

I got a Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMI from Amazon in December for R1500, all costs included. That was the bargain of the year, given SSD prices in SA at that time.

RTX 3080 Ti prices lower than 3080 on Wootware???

I'm still on 980ti but don't know if I can justify spending that much on a gpu right now. I'm on 1440p 144/165hz(ASUS PG279q) I'm tempted to buy the 3080ti for R32K as other places have it for R40K, I recently upgraded from 6700k to ryzen 7 5800x so a cpu won't bottleneck when I decide to get a new gpu bam prices went up. I would've been fine with R25-27K then instant buy from me but over R30K for me is a huge commitment. I'm struggling to run latest games but then again not enough new games that I can think of that is making me feel like I need to upgrade to play the game except for 2 game, Metro exodus enhanced edition and cyberpunk 2077. I mostly play Modern Warfare/Warzone and then maybe some red dead redemtion 2 single player.

I wonder if new 3080 that come in will be a little bit cheaper seeing as they will be LHR cards. So thinking it should be under R30k. Thinking it should be like R25K then but don't know.

What is you guys opinion on the 3080ti pricing from wootware. I know it's cheapest in SA so far but don't know if payning over R30K is worth it right now or if I should hang on till like next year or see what pricing will be on new 3080 LHR cards
