Don't get a B450 motherboard, the price between a B450 and a B550 is minimal, rather get a B550, also 750w isn't really needed either not with the 3060 and the 5600x.
Hmmm...the 2 x DIMM slots on the 550 seems like it's limiting what I can do with RAM upgrades in the future.

Any other suggested AMD mobo's in the 1500 - 3500 price range? AM4 + microATX, pref with PCIe 4.0.

There are more then one B550 :-)

I was looking at the one in your cart - thought that's what you were referring to.

ASUS Tuf Gaming.

I bought the atx one at the beginning of the year. There is also the smaller form factor that looses 2 of the 6 SATA connectors. Great board...

I ordered this from Wootware last week, after a good read through this thread. Feel sick paying so much for a 3060 ti (even though it's via the business) but it is what is, also getting a smaller screen as the last few years on a 27" haven't been pleasant. Hopefully arriving on Thursday.

Don't forget one of the most important but also the most often overlooked pieces of hardware: monitors!

Here's a nice guide just released that should help you choose:

No point in getting a monster of a PC if the end product (everything displayed) is going to look like crap.

You spend R2000 on windows 10, you must have money burning in your wallet!

For anyone looking at getting a new PC or upgrading an existing one, check this out.

Also, pretty cool redemption for the dude from the infamous Verge video.

Will you be using the stock cooler. You better get soemthing like a hyper 212x or single tower phanteks cooler will help out a lot. The more you cool the new chips the faster it goes

Thanks, I have ordered a hyper212 (not the X).

If you can't find 212s look at the Gammax range from Deepcool the 400 and GT are basically 212 clones
