So my Phantek PH 400 DWT, Antec 750w Atom and Galax 3070ti arrived, wow the Galax was perhaps one of the better packed graphics cards I've seen in a bit, okay granted I've only had palits for the last 3 1/2 years.
Though I'm now scratching my head trying to figure out how to get the front fans on the phantek to actually RGB .
Compared to my old Deep Cool Tessarect the Phantek is far better built and spacious. Though it took me 2 hours to move my motherboard to the new case, mainly cause a bloody screw got stuck to a riser and it took me bloody ages to get it off the motherboard.
The power supply had to many plugs that were separate so the PCI-E port was 6+2, the CPU was separate 2 pieces which actually makes it harder to plug in sigh. Though I'm glad I did as with my 2060 super playing games my PC would hit 350w, now with the 3070ti my PC is hitting 450 to 490. But games have gone from 80fps to 144fps easily at 1440p, it's like wow.

Are there no RGB pins on the motherboard for the case?

I wonder if it’s because it’s a Galax or if they just package the higher end cards better in general, to give it that premium feel. I have the Asus 3070 Ti and I was also impressed with the packaging.

I have this case, took me a minute to figure out the cabling as well.

The front fans all have a power and RGB cable. The RGB cables daisy chain together which will leave you with a single RGB plug - you plug that into either the Rainbow or JRGB connector on the motherboard. Unfortunately the power connectors don't daisy chain, so depending on how many fan headers your motherboard has, you may need a fan connector hub. I used one of these guys.

There are, but the fans came with the D_LED connector and ones with male and female, so I plugged the female into the D_LED slot on the motherboard.
Yeah it's still in pieces at the moment, I just hooked it all up too see if it all worked as the cables are a bit tight for somethings and still needing to sort out the fans, also need to figure out away to route the cables better for the cpu fan and the one case fan, as it extends over the mobo. Hopefully I can neaten it up more
The case is rather attractive actually quite impressed with it, I like white cases vs black and this one is just done so nicely.
My old deep cool actually had a 4 port fan hub with it, so that was nice, but it's solidly stuck to the chassis, I bought the same fan hub for my sons PC and it's double sided tape was useless, odd how the tape was different, exactly the same device but ones tape was like freaking super glue and the others was like prestik.

I'm wondering the same, as the 3070ti was packaged almost like my Series X, nice box, easy to open, soft material over things, cover over the PCI-Express slot, though oddly no plastic to peel off the card. Both my 1660ti and my 2060 super had plastic, but they were both just shipped in cardboard boxes like the old days.

Build so far, freaking cables man, I had to use an extender for my cpu cable so that's the mustard and ketchup cable, trying to see how to pull it back

Good job on building yourself.

However, you're doing it wrong with the cables. There are slots along the top and bottom of the motherboard, rather route the cables through there, it will keep it a lot neater.

I noticed that, first case to have those, used to having the cables routing through the holes . But the hole by the power supply is crowded by the power supply cables, but I'll have to rework it :-(

I know... I know :-{ this was done after struggling for 2 hours to get a freaking screw out of a broken riser, so I just threw it all together to see if it worked, turned it on, it beeped at me was like wtf!!!! Realised the PCI cable was dangling there sigh

Oh my old case was just as dusty, felt like I was opening the tomb of some long dead pharoh . Gave it a good clean up, need to fix some of the bits that broke off, as the plastic had gotten brittle after 3 years, never had that before.
Otherwise nice cabling, I'll have to see if I can do that

Now that's some excellent progress! Good job dude!

If I may make a suggestion, get yourself an additional fan for the rear, or take the bottom fan from the front and move it to the rear. You want to exhaust the hot air from the case.

Even my zotec had awesome packaging.

Are you going to undervolt?
Will get huge noise and power savings with maybe 1% fps drop

I'll get there I'm going to order another fan for the back and see if I can get that deep cool fan controller off.
Front fan rgb working now as well. Now no one must see the back of the case lala

Just check temps - if they're fine, no worries. If they're a little warm, just move the one fan across until the extra one arrives.

Good job on the RGB, that build is looking sweet man. Also, the cable side of the case has to remain closed at all times. It is the way. Noone needs to know.

Oh yeah it'll remain closed I'm going to be monitoring temps, but the reason I went for this case is the proper mesh on the front.
My deep cool had a rear fan and it's temps were terrible

Yea this is one of the best performing cases in terms of temps, at least at this price point. It's why I bought it too. Will last you many many years man and they look so good too.

Yup the case was more a grudge purchase as my old one just couldn't fit my CPU cooler properly and also the GPU wouldn't fit, so I was like sigh, glad I did now.
