I hope this email finds you well.

We have received and tested the unit. We have confirmed the fault and we will be replacing the unit with a new one.

Please confirm your address for shipping the new unit back. Once the unit has been replaced then it will be given to dispatch and they will arrange that the unit gets back to you safely.

I hope that you have a great day further.

Evetech service def looking better!

They've not sent it back yet :-)

Surprisingly, Incredible might just have the cheapest RTX 3080 actually in stock / available right now, albeit a non-OC somewhat reference design.

That is a pretty good price

LOL howd you game then

At distances over 1.1m
But seriously, if my monitor is fingertip length away from me, it's almost 1m away from my face. That was fine to not notice obvious individual pixels for working, but fore some games it was "overwhelming" and I had to move it further away to focus on the action better. I used to push that monitor as far back on my desk as possible.
It could be that it was the slow response time that made it difficult to focus as well.

For gaming a larger screen further away is nicer than a smaller screen that's closer. I will probably get a good 32" 4K 165hz monitor some time in the future when I have a GPU that can make use of such a beast, which will probably be a long time from now.

So many hints that the RTX 4090 is indeed in production already, so no thanks. I’ll wait.

any good?

old:
(swapped to 3070ti)
current: https://www.wootware.co.za/w/builder/?selections=29755,38146,37494,38305,18491x2,39139,33500x2,7435

Basically what I'm upgrading to if I decide to go there. Basic requirements 35k budget, intel cpu 12x range, nvidia gpu at least 3060, chassis, 32 gig rams, 2x nvmes.

Wow prices gone up a bit again.

You'll have to look on Carbonite for a used Nvidia gtx 1060 6gb or and Rx 580 8gb, do not go for the 3/4gb versions. You not gonna find anything new with that budget.

Looks like my cuz has upped her budget. She is asking if this will work in a PC with DDR3 ram on it's motherboard. I think there's some confusion to thinking that the gpu ram must sync with the mobo ram. Maybe it does I don't know.

Your feedback is appreciated guys, I'm also really clueless about this stuff.

What's the rest of her spec? GPU RAM doesn't really sync with normal RAM, but does she game?
Here is a little bit over budget but better than the matrix price.
There's also this
Which is almost on par with the 1650 but a bit newer

Don't worry about the PC ram, as long as it has a pcie slot for the GPU which most have and the PSU has power connectors for the GPU you're good to go.

What are the PC specs by the way CPU, ram, mb, PSU just in case there's something weird...

Hmm is it any worthwhile effort to go liquid cooling?
I'm currently building a new machine and did a lot of thinking and research on whether or not to go liquid cooling. Liquid cooling can have catastrophic failures. Air cooling has gotten pretty great, on par with many liquid coolers. I got myself a Deepcool AK400 for my i5 12400. Then there is the beefier AK620.

I don't want to take a chance and have the pump fail or a leak that destroys my PC.

That 1650 is overpriced, on the RAM part nope.
She can get a 1660ti from Incredible Connection for R3999
