People still care about who has the biggest penis? I want / use a box and whether it's intel or amd it's what shoe fits.AMD 7k CPUs wiping the floor with Intel at the moment, as expected. Finally topping single core performance as well. Until Intel releases their next chip, anyway.
The released CPUs don't have level 3 cache which makes a huge difference in gaming.5800x3d is sitll faster in some games,so guess il just buy that.
The performance jumps they keep getting while technically being on the same process node from TSMC since Matisse (3000 series) is very impressive.AMD 7k CPUs wiping the floor with Intel at the moment, as expected. I think you meant V-cache which works like additional L3 cache. The released CPUs don't have level 3 cache which makes a huge difference in gaming.
Zen 4 is 5nmThe performance jumps they keep getting while technically being on the same process node from TSMC since Matisse (3000 series) is very impressive.
I'm sure TSMC has tweaked things along the way but it's still 7nm Finfet.
That changes things a bit...I thought I read 7nm on Techpowerup.Zen 4 is 5nm
It’s the IO dies that are on the tweaked 7nm (so-called 6nm). Compute cores are 5nm.That changes things a bit...I thought I read 7nm on Techpowerup.
I'll have to wait for a clock-to-clock comparison before seeing how much of the performance improvement is brute force versus actual IPC gains.
I have the 12400 and it's great for the price.Hey guys
Looking at 12th Gen i5 12400
Is there anything from AMD that can match or outperform for cheaper as the motherboards and CPUs are getting pricey

Probably not, that said I have not looked at pricing in a while. Keep in mind that Intel 13th gen will be out next month so maybe wait a we bit before buying if you can.

Yep, I have a 360 Ti as well. The motherboard was a bit pricey yes, but I wanted something that will last me a while and had built in wifiIt is very good paired with a 3060 Ti really good performance just for 12th gen motherboards are pricey compared to previous gens when you want good IO etc

Throw in the prices of the 40 series, I'm glad I upgraded 6 months ago and will probably keep this till the second AM5 chipDamn, they are quite pricey.
