Anybody here have 12900k or 13900k and plays new world?

Hows the fps in chest runs?

I feel laptop 12th gen provide more fps when does not throttle than the 5900x in my desktop, so might need switch to intel. Just want 60fps stable in chest runs :(

Run msi-afterburner and see what is happening.

Yes gpu suage drops, because game is limiting because some gpus burned out :P

But i heard some intel cpus do get better fps in this game due to single threaded performance.

laptop on other hand is just dropping the gpu clocks to 300mhz randomly, not sure becuase of this game or adapter getting too hot, still need to try other games. But when laptop is running at peak performance the fps is better than my desktop with 5900x.

Grab a 5800X3D. It'll slot right in and it's a gaming beast.

It is also pretty hot I heard :(

I run 5900x 65watt eco mdoe so can keep temps in 70s, my room has no airflow at all :(
What cooler do you have?

Also, why not disable ECO Mode?
That 13900K is the hottest CPU by far so if cooling is a concern then that isn't an option. It throttles on a 420 AIO in a well ventilated case. (In synthetic benchmarks anyway, would probably be okay in gaming).

What's the spec of the laptop? Also the desktop?

Without eco mode, cpu easily goes in about 80c, for few mhz of turbo speeds.

I run 240mm corsair AIO, pretty new bought recently.

Compared to my friends place, my pc runs almost 10c hotter in my room.

Wait if CPU is hitting 80c what is the GPU hitting? I mean my 3070ti sits at 75 to 80 and my room isn't that cold. What case do you have? Have you done an airflow test?

Laptop is 12700h, 16gb ram, nvme, rtx 3070.

desktop 5900x 32gb ram, 4070ti, nvme
Single core would be a bit faster on that 12700h yes, but it's probably related to the heat in the previous reply.

Anyone had experience with Wootwares “recertified” graphic cards found a good deal on it even comes with a decent warranty 30 months

How is the packaging and service from them and the card itself

I bought a 6700xt last year. Came in an unmarked box.

It's a bit of a hit and miss. Gaming is flawless, but desktop app usage results in driver crashes. The one where it resets itself and continues on (not a BSOD).

Can't use excel with h/w acceleration because then it glitches/artifacts when working with the cells. YouTube video oddities too, depending on the codec used.

I'm on the latest Adrenaline drivers and this is my first AMD card. It's either the drivers or the card, but I've never experienced this before. The fact it's recertified is pointing me towards it being this specific card.

Did you send it in under warranty ?

If so how’s the service with Wootware

Bit of a shame with the card though no card should be doing that

Found a rare card under recertified but skeptical with various issues one can face

Guess if they aren’t like evetech with dodgy warranties and actually help with the issues it won’t be a problem

I think mine came with a 2-year warranty.

I could, but it's not insufferable. Annoying, yes, but it still works for the most part.

Games run great. Maybe it'll be fixed in a future driver (if it's a driver issue).

If you ask me, will I buy RECERTIFIED again, the answer would be no.

I doubt you'd experience that with Wootware. They're quite reputable and customer service orientated.

I guess the fact it's a RECERTIFIED card sort of speaks to an inherent tendency for things to go wrong with it, which is both a basis for a warranty claim and basis to sell cheaper.

Guess it’s not cheaper but it’s a card that’s no longer made and the card I had my eye on besides the above isn’t in stock new at Wootware and have to keep to a budget cause of 13th gen need to begin the build soon

Just really skeptical now considering the experience of r4nd0m had with recertified , I did mail wootware on specifics if there are issues with the card

Just curious if I had to send back with a warranty claim how would it be treated new vs used/recertified

I would not worry about buying from wootware, they will honor that warranty.

That 30 month warranty on a recertified product is just 6 months less than the normal 3yr warranty on most products and 6 months more than offered on the Galax GPUs which long outlast the warranty, think my Galax GPU is about 6yrd old now. Bottom line wootware will warranty the product, no questions asked.

Wootware customer service is legit:thumbsup:
