My PC nearly complete, Just waiting for final SSD from wootware. I finally purchases a new keyboard and mouse. The system extremely stable and running smooth. I did put some limits in place like FPS to 120, some other software tweaks for Win11, so far I really loving the new PC. I ran couple of my work loads and usual work load usually takes 45minutes to an hour, I was done 3 minutes. Peak Ram I used is ~90GB ram.
Now got my entire voice train set + neural network + voice output loaded in memory(~73GB ram). <2ms response times vs > 100ms. So overall was a good investment.
Meh, no optical drive.
I've got a coolermaster hyper 212x on my old CPU. Kinda hoping that will work, at least their website says it fits am4.
Wait a bit, the 5070ti is coming out in 2025 and pricing of the 4 series will dropHmm to get the 4070ti or not
Tech jesus called it a dumpster fire haha
Spoke to contact at wootware cards should be up at 18k or so at 4pm.

Wait don't you have a 3080?
Ooh, yeah I'm running a 3070ti and it hits about 250+ by itself, making it that I hit about 390w easily, was looking at an AMD. But first I need to start looking at my sons machine, 1600af with a 2060 super, I mean it still handles the games he plays but it's 3 to 4 years old now.Had a 3080 yes, but it turn the room into a sona
through 4070ti only has a bit less power draw than 3080
rx 6800 i am using now is about 150watt less than the 3080 I had
6 years old now, sure it took awhile for it to be knocked down, but it's now knocked down. And here I'm still sitting with a 1070ti![]()
I'll probably hold onto the card for another year or three. There are more important things to do before PC parts, unfortunately6 years old now, sure it took awhile for it to be knocked down, but it's now knocked down.
Might as well just get a second hand 3070/80. Can't justify that price just for dlss 3 and less power consumptionHmm to get the 4070ti or not

Im sitting on the 1080 and have no reason to upgrade yet.And here I'm still sitting with a 1070ti![]()
Yeah, it's not like I play games that kill my GPU anywayIm sitting on the 1080 and have no reason to upgrade yet.
I fired up my lounge PC for the first time in a few months.Im sitting on the 1080 and have no reason to upgrade yet.
4k medium settings I take it? As at Extreme you'd be around 50fps and Ultra you'd be sitting at 30.I fired up my lounge PC for the first time in a few months.
GTX 1080Ti, Ryzen 5600.
Playing Forza 5 at 4K on my 65' with frames still sitting well above 60fps.
If I wasn't such a desperate mess for 144fps on my desktop I don't think I would have upgraded to a 3080ti.
Using the 'high' preset in forza 5.4k medium settings I take it? As at Extreme you'd be around 50fps and Ultra you'd be sitting at 30.
3840x2160 is 4k high might get 60fpsUsing the 'high' preset in forza 5.
Probably not expected 4k performance, because it's not a true '4k' tv and only 3840x2160
