Why? He bought a membrane keyboard, there are some pretty decent other mechanical keyboards out there, I mean hell my old Marvo entry level mechanical I picked up for R199 in 2019 is still going strong, it's just really loud :), the Foxxray I got to replace my sons membrane (which I stole as it's got a knobby to change volume and stuff) works well as well. The only thing is those 2 aren't RGB but rainbow
Because they're better quality. I say this, typing on my Asus TUF Gaming mechanical, after using a Marvo mechanical. It's just better made. The Marvo is in a box somewhere because it died.

I'm not a fan of spending huge money unnecessarily, but there is a quality difference to be had with the better brands and given he's just said he doesn't like the cheapie he has, it's a pretty good time to upgrade to something better.

My monitor is coming today, The alienware was not working, swap out to better resolution and something with more reviews. Now my problem is my keyboard and mouse. I bumping the ram to 128GB, I bumping the SSD to 2TB and HDD 2TB. I just need a decent keyboard. I bought this one and don't like the keyboard as much: https://www.wootware.co.za/redragon...601-centrophorus-rgb-gaming-mouse-bundle.html

Any recommendation?
You bought expensive hardware then cheaped out on the keyboard? Tsk Tsk

techware phantom from amazon... about R700... have mine for a year and still solid. Even a redragon k552 is very underrated

just a heads up. if you guys ever order from Wootware or pretty much any store that uses DAwn wing/DPD lasers as courier avoid them. parts(ram and cpu) was shipped from Wootware on 5th December still waiting when we order other stuff from another company also in Capetown using courier guy and it's already here today.

Nothing against wootware as they even offered me a full refund, or they can reship the products. The ram is not in stock anymore (corsair vengance rgb sl 2x16GB) so they offered me the following at no additional cost and ship using courier guy.

Must say Wootware has some of the best service I've experienced so far.

That's funny. I only use dawn wing from woot and never had issues. Besides... there might still be backlog from black Friday not forgetting its about shutdown and xmas kak.

edit
I had worst experience from TCG/Aramex. RNG?

Got the link to the keyboard?
They can be found for sale all over, and there are multiple variants (white/black. single LED/Rainbow/Full RGB)

Just be mindful of what you are ordering. The best one to get if you want to have some futureproofing or wanna do mods in the future, is the full RGB as it comes with hotswap IIRC.

The Tecware is from Amazon

The rand/usd exchange rate hasnt been kind here... I picked mine up for around R740 (last year) and managed to get a friend in the states to bring it over.
Including shipping... its gonna run you over a grand... if that is in your budget... then i would recommend that you rather get the Keychron C1 from TAL.

Feeling the itch to upgrade but my PC can currently run everything fine so its really pointless expenditure. Perhaps I'll wait a few years and upgrade completely to new gen.

Well 600nits so it won't be full HDR but you'll see some of it :-)

My experience (multiple instances) with Dawn Wing / DPD Laser is that they excel at being incompetent, if I have a choice (and I do with Wootware) I select any other courier on checkout.

Almost weird taking out my last ssd and now I'm only on nvmes. How things has changed coming from 150mbs (mechanical) to 555 (ssd) and now 7000 (nvmes)

Of course in honor of my very first ssd (which btw still works perfectly)

I did get this (Corsair MP600 PRO XT 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe)
