Because they're better quality. I say this, typing on my Asus TUF Gaming mechanical, after using a Marvo mechanical. It's just better made. The Marvo is in a box somewhere because it died. Why? He bought a membrane keyboard, there are some pretty decent other mechanical keyboards out there, I mean hell my old Marvo entry level mechanical I picked up for R199 in 2019 is still going strong, it's just really loud, the Foxxray I got to replace my sons membrane (which I stole as it's got a knobby to change volume and stuff) works well as well. The only thing is those 2 aren't RGB but rainbow
I'm not a fan of spending huge money unnecessarily, but there is a quality difference to be had with the better brands and given he's just said he doesn't like the cheapie he has, it's a pretty good time to upgrade to something better.
