!The PC GAMERZ Thread!

@Preases
i doesnt look bad at all yeah, its actually quite low hey
but then again that guy is guessing...

@Mephisto
now that actually does look evil...or atleast GFX wise, thats a bit steep... especially considering what they ask for optimal...

but all this is before its released so we'll have to wait and see what the end result is don't we

Yeah, guessing generally isn't very accurate :p
That GFX requirement is steeper than Crysis'. you can play crysis on a 6800 on low. I'm sure blizzard wouldn't force people to at least have a GF7 series. Would be crazy

The lower the specs, the more sales they'll have...

Exactly....and i think blizzard knows that...
glad i have a 7800GTX...(oh oh so Crysis would be fine on my pc! awesome)

My bro has a 7900GTX and a 3500+ AMD64 with 2GB DDR400 and plays Crysis at 1024x768 on medium if I'm not mistaken :)

we'll other than the gfx card i have a piece of crap at the moment, im waiting on my friend to let me know whats up...
then i'll get a Core2Duo E6420, and 2GB DDR 800, case, and 500watt PSU.
at the moment i have 1GB DDR800, Celeron D 2.66GHZ crap, 400watt PSU, Intel D945GTP board, nVidia 7800GTX

SC2 requirement rumors are false

Blizzard Denies Rumored StarCraft 2 System Specs
Leaked PC requirements are speculation.
by Jimmy Thang

May 22, 2008 - Spanish gaming magazine Micromania recently posted system specs for Blizzard's highly anticipated real-time strategy game, StarCraft 2. Even though the publication recently visited Blizzard's offices in Irvine, CA, Blizzard has denied the leak of the following PC requirements, which are now floating around the internets:

Minumum Requirements
Graphics: GeForce 7/8 Series or Radeon 1000/2000 with 256 MB RAM
CPU: Pentium 4
RAM: 1 GB
Internet: ADSL 1 Mbit

Recommended Requirements
Graphics: GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 series with 512 MB RAM
CPU: Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2.
RAM: 2 GB
Internet: ADSL 3 Mbit

Optimal Requirements
Graphics: Geforce 9000er or Radeon 3000er Series
CPU: Core 2 Duo 3 GHz or Athlon X2
RAM: 2GB with DualChannel mode

A Blizzard representative told IGN, "Blizzard has not released final, official system requirements for StarCraft II. The numbers you're seeing are a result of independent speculation from a Spanish game magazine."

For those who aren't up to date with hardware specs, these are fairly beefy hardware requirements as far as Blizzard games go, which usually cater towards a wide range of PCs.

For more information on StarCraft 2, check out the game's main page.

How does the 2900XT compare to the 3850?
The 256MB version is available for R1787 at take2. Isn't it maybe a better buy? Try to find some benchies :)

Well the HD2900XT is benched just below the 8800GT. and i believe it retails for about 3000 something

some time later:
Well goodie me, i just saw a crysis high detail demo, between a HD2900XT and a 8800GTX and the 2900 is tops the whole time
