!The PC GAMERZ Thread!

If your referring to DA. Yes it's an rpg. BioWare claimed when it was announced in 2004 it will be the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate.

Then it better be balls-to-walls fantastic

Pc gamerz can rejoice EA also made an announcement that burnout Paradise will be ported to pc (due later this year).

Wonder when Crysis is gonna go budget ;) One good thing about me having waited all this time for my new PC is that whatever hasn't been able to play is on it's way to budget range. So /me can have a glut of new games for next to nada ................ schweet no :D

I may have to try that idea as well. Right now I'm in a gaming rut, with nothing screaming "PLAY ME!". I'm praying that StarCraft2 changes things in a big way for me, cos I only play Hellgate London once a week. Otherwise I fiddle around in Ubuntu and surf mostly.
:rolleyes:

Everything else is sitting on my shelf unplayed. Darnit, I need a visually amazing immersive 1st-person dark horror-fest featuring a ninja with uber power-ups fighting against oriental necro-mages that summon slavering scary creatures with sharp claws and glowing yellow eyes!
:rolleyes:

Crysis ruined FPS gaming to me. Got the leaked pre-alpha of stalker clear sky and it was just a major disappointment because I'm so spoilt with super sexah graphics i.e. crysis :( Guess I'll be able to play FarCry2 then because it looks stunning. I know a game is more than just graphics, but the same can be said about women...yet people always go for the hotties first :D

Sigh... :o

lol kinda makes sense...
i always stress to my friends that they shouldnt just look at the graphics since its not all about that... its not the graphics that make a game...
though for some reason i havent tried out the game i got with my graphic card, which is Commando's: Strike Force(its the FPS version of Commandos, just incase some people don't know), and i believe it is actually quite good.... or am i wrong? anybody played that game before to correct me or back me up?

Have any of you SC2 fans seen the system specs? /me just can't understand hardcore spec requirements for RTS games :confused:

Official specs?

Not as far as I know but I wouldn't put it past the developers to have requirements like that ....... they do cater for countries where PC specs like that are more the norm after all.

well... memory wise i could understand, for example hordes of units on the screen...
that can kill a system.
and hey RTS games are looking better and better. take company of heroes for example... that killed my system...

Will StarCraft II take advantage of DirectX 10? What other graphical goodies are included?

The game will be compatible with DirectX 10, and we're still considering whether there will be exclusive DirectX 10 graphic effects, but the graphics engine will also be very scalable to ensure that a wide range of different systems will be capable of running StarCraft II. The new engine is also capable of rendering very large units, as well as large numbers of units on screen together. Havok physics have been integrated into the engine for added realism as well.

The Spanish magazine Micromania has had the privilige to visit the Blizzard offices and apart from a preview also managed to digg up the current (*unofficial until verified by Blizzard) system requirements for the game:

CPU: Pentium 4
RAM: 1 GB
Internet: ADSL 1 Mbit

Recommended Requirements
GFX: GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 series with 512 MB RAM
CPU: Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2.

Optimal Requirements

Suppose until it actually comes out everyone is gonna have their 'rumours' hey :D

@Preases
i doesnt look bad at all yeah, its actually quite low hey
but then again that guy is guessing...

@Mephisto
now that actually does look evil...or atleast GFX wise, thats a bit steep... especially considering what they ask for optimal...

but all this is before its released so we'll have to wait and see what the end result is don't we
