The perfect evolution

hmph..ja.my htc710 vox rocks. was a nokia fan,now will not part with my htc.

Yeah! Same here! HTC s710 isn't to bad hey! Not to big and does everything its suppose to. Something you should however do is loading custom ROM. The phone pretty much suxs with the standard wm6 rom.

The E-series is pretty good. The E65 had two problems for me - no FM Radio and the 2MP camera was below par compared to others.

When going the Symbian&Nokia route I would really only recommend N-series. It is the best they have on offer and there is very little the E-series offers over the N-series.

At least both of them is running the best damn smartphone OS - one that can properly multitask :p

I have an E65, its slow as hell. Hope they fixed that on this... Though looking at whats coming out, the only thing out there for me is the HTC Dream

Do you close applications properly or just red button them ?
What firmware are you on ?

Symbian and S60v3 is the ultimate in uber go **** yourself operating systems! Hate them Sony Ericson faggets who just wont admit their phone OS is siht. And as far as windows mobile goes no ways bill fudge cakes Gates can take a hike with his sluggish OS. Symbian is all the business baby! And yeh have the underdog of the series the e50, and let me tell u its still better than any of ya's htc's cause u see i actually get more than 3hrs talk time. (snickering)

Nice1 Mole.

I had some fun just know when a coworker with a tytn2 asked me how fast my Quake was :p It really sucks on a touch screen.

Then we compared multitasking features but after I started sending him the full pak files over bluetooth and he wanted to play with Google Mobile Maps the tytn2 choked up :D So to add insult to injury I opened Garmin Mobile XT, Google Mobile Maps and Nokia Maps at the same time and cruised with ease :)

I love multitasking.

He did rip me over the Nokia 5000 I am playing around with though - guess that was fair and due

I have the E61i, I got it because the buttons was nice and I could actually type a sms faster than I usually did. 1 character = 1 press. The camera is left to be desired. The multitasking... is working, but it still to dog slow. If I ran a java application, I have to restart the phone after I closed it to get speed back and my internet connectivity. I don't know why this happens, but after a reboot (taking the battery out). I can connect to the internet again. I just wish it was a hell of lot faster, perhaps dual core or a higher MHz cpu...?

I'm still not happy, the iPhone appears to scroll faster but I haven't seen it with quick/office or any other office type applications while adobe pdf reader is open and then switching over to sms... Eish, maybe I like things to respond when I press a button.

The phone is not that heavy at all, it looks huge, but it slips in your pocket and nobody will even notice it is there since it is so flat. It does last a long time, the battery is huge.

The E61 is good when it comes to Symbian apps - like playing Divx and so on. But I have seen one almost dying when you run Amaze GPS on it. Guess that the 220 MHz ARM processor and Symbian OS v9.1 is not the best if you want fast Java performance.

I have a N82 at this stage and for me it is fast enough in both J2ME and Symbian :p
