The Pill

and the inlaws :D nah, take your wife to the canal walk tomorrow evening after she finished working and get the pill.... but as MR B said, those pills are quite nasty...

I know somebody who has used it over 20 times. I **** you not, I shudder to think of the reprocussions of that. This is not because I was lazy or because I did not care to use contraception because I did, I really dont plan on making this a habit and if I could take the pill for her I would, she doesnt want to take it as is but she will as its needed.

okay no need to start freaking out now, its done, you cant do anything about it, wait till tomorrow morning, drive to every chemist if it needs to be done, than drive to your gf's work and drop it off.. its almost 11 o clock now... i think you should get yourself a dop. a strong one....

The majority of chemists/pharmacists in this country are pathetic. They treat you like stupid. Like in ooooh you need a script based on some 1865 legislation. Then you have the sensible accommodating ones, but these are few and far between. The Pharmaceutical industry is so antiquated and overregulated with highly questionable quality control on some medicines despite the MCC.
Look at countries like Mexico. Progressive. Get anything you want. No hassles. In this day and age why should anyone need to pay a doctor for a bit of paper when they know exactly what they want. The net is a wonderful diagnostic tool in the new era of self medicating if it's used by people who know what they're doing.
Now I have a moer of a headache. Two Lentogesic please. Non of that crap OTC stuff for me.:D

And while I'm ranting; god help any of us that get the big terminal illlness. We only have morphine FFS. The rest of the world have Pain killing cannons like Diamorphine and fentanyl lollipops.
Morphine by comparison is like munching aspirin mixed with benydryl to make u snooze in pain.

Man now you guys are just making me feel *** - can nobody atleast tell me a positive story where theyve had a scare and its been ok. I don't 100% know if the pill is needed but im trying to be precautious.

Seriously forget the pills man, rather start shopping around for the best places to buy diapers and pacifiers. At least you won't need a script or her presence.

Had a scare once with my gf of the time..... Took the pill the next morning - everything worked out in the end.

That said I wouldn't want to be in your position...

Well if u need a woman to go with u to the Chemist then ask your granny or sister to go.

Any woman care to comment on the truth of that? I'm reading conflicting things. People here have said it has tons of side effects.

Is it dangerous to use?

Not at all. If anybody tells you that it has 'lots of side-effects' or 'makes you really sick', don't believe them.

The older form of PCP used in the 1990s did often cause nausea, but today's pill causes very little trouble.

You may feel a bit sick after taking it, but only about 1 woman in every 60 actually throws up.

If you do vomit within three hours of taking Levonelle, you should assume its effect has been lost, and get another one from a doctor or pharmacist.

Uncommon side-effects, which as a GP I've hardly ever seen, include:

* headache

* tummy ache

* breast tenderness

* vaginal 'spotting' of blood

* dizziness.

You can find more details about side-effects from the package leaflet.

Thats not helping man this is serious.
