Yeah, they were full value for their win. Really came back well after being 14/3. That being said, I was worried Shamzi would be a liability and I was proved right. Just super ineffective.

Are you backing roeloff's cheese fellows beating us or are sri lanka white washing nz in nz. Wihtout atleast one of those happening we are going to india not zim.

Yeah was mistaken think we should still qualify automaticly unless New Zealand implode
 
SOUTH AFRICA PENALISED FOR SLOW OVER-RATE IN THIRD ODI AGAINST ENGLAND


South Africa have been fined 20 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against England in the third ODI in Kimberley on Wednesday.

Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after South Africa were ruled to be one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.

In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 per cent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.

In addition, as per Article 16.12.2 of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League Playing Conditions, a side is penalized one point for each over short. Consequently, South Africa will lose one point from their points tally in the Super League standings.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma pled guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Allahudien Paleker and Marais Erasmus, third umpire Adrian Holdstock and fourth umpire Bongani Jele leveled the charge.

I don't think it really changes anything. We're now on 78 points, with WI on 88 and Sri Lanka 77. WI have played all their games while Sri Lanka have 3 left and we have 2. A team gets 10 points for a win. One win still gets us ahead of WI as our NRR is better than theirs. If we win one, SL have to win 2 and if we win both SL need to whitewash NZ at home.

We're now on 78 and Sri Lanka are on 77, WI frozen on 88 because they've played their 24 games. We still need to get at least 1 win to get by WI (88 points) on run rate (don't think it's possible for the net run rate over 24 matches to change much in 2 matches even if we lose them).

But we also need to do better than SL in NZ so there's that unknown.

Tbh, I don't think more cricket in Zim in June-July is a bad thing for us.
