The Proteas - Our Team!

Ok so in 25-30 overs the pomms might just be ahead, then for every over they bat we should bat 0.5 of that.

So 62 -30 = 30 overs left, they can bat for about another 20 and leave us with 10 to chase 60 odd :D

So Albie picked up a minor injury, and Faf has been called in as cover. How about that, we now have a reserve for our reserve :D Faf in for Rudolph anyone?

Doubt it, unless rudolph is injured.

Rudolph has done nothing wrong.

In his last 5 innings he has scored: 51*, 52, 105, 1, 11 @ Avg of 55.00

I really doubt they will drop him as he is left handed, has openend (thus can help seeing off the second new ball) and has a lot of experience (which a lot of is in England).

Hopefully he gets over the injury quickly, as he would probably have been pencilled in for the ODIs.

Pleeeeeeease can the test not start a day early :p:D
Yes! .. also looking forward to this 2nd test. And I'll be looking out for my two sons in the stands, who now live & work in Ireland, and who are flying Dublin -> Leeds to watch SA at Headingly for a couple of days ... I wish I could join them in watching what is hopefully another beating of the English.
I even now like G Smith (..well .. just a little ) after his great innings, and Captaincy, at the Oval.

Hahaha, that is awesome.

I must say I like this more aggresive Smith captaincy when we are bowling. I alos think it is really nice to have a full time spinner that can bowl that ripper.

No doubt that the English will come out guns blazing this time around and it should be a much tougher contest.

Though we're still going to whip some Pommie ass :D.

England being current number one is proof of that.

I'll have some faith when we're number 1 :D.

They're fair if you consider they have to average the results from quite a few years, England were winning everything up to about a year ago.

Currently we're the best team in the world though.

If the selectors are serious about Thami Tsolekile, why did they not draft him into this game against Ireland? Even if it was only 2 days of play?

Because they are not... I really see this as wasting time with blooding a long term solution.

Maybe at home, but their touring performance is nothing near as good as SA's in the last 3-5 years IIRC.
