Fortuin is lucky to be in that squad. Both queshile and moonsamy have had better seasons.

He was part of the kg/Aiden under 19 WC win. But he has failed to live up to early promise in the pro game.

If we look at the team that played vs india, many of them will be in similar boats.

Who wants to play 3 or 4 mickey mouse test matches a year and miss out on opportunities to make some big bucks. Or forego big bucks for test matches that don't mean anything and pay poorly

I feel for the players. They are being robbed of opportunities to showcase their skills at the highest level.
Would probably do the same were I in their shoes.

the pig3 have the budget to compensate their players. CSA is not so fortunate.

its possible given his age that he was informed by CSA that he didnt form part of any immediate or even long term plans.

i dont necessarily agree with that mentality. if you are good enough, you are old/young enough

That said, at least he may have been given clear direction on where/how to maximize his career opportunities
