Pearl Jam - Clairvoyance (new single)

(does this still count as Punk?)

Anyone here into Pop-Punk? That was my childhood.
Yeah, hand many albums in my GM library.

Sum41
Blink 182
MXPX
New Found Glory
The Ataris
No Use For A Name
Green Day
Good Charlotte
Bad Religion
Alkaline Trio
Jimmy Eat World
Tweak
The Finkelsteins

Probably many more on my now abandoned external mp3 hard drive.

I'm a late 70s/early 80s guy. The music of my youth. So in no particular order but maybe a little bit, some of my favourite bands still on my playlists...

The Skids
Stiff Little Fingers
The Clash
Cockney Rejects
The Damned
The Stranglers
Crass
The Jam
Angelic Upstarts
The Exploited
Dead Kennedy's
4-Skins
UK Subs
Got into The Pixies late 80s early 90s
.....and can't forget the Sex Pistols

The first band I saw live and one of my favourite tunes of all time. The Skids with The Saints are Coming. Covered quite nicely by U2/Green Day but the original is just fantastic.

I remember writing some of the lyrics of this on the toilet walls at Mossgas in 1991 when the future of the country was unsure. And sadly it’s a till relevant to the EFF today if you listen to the first few verses especially.

It speeds up and down and changes tempo a fair bit and to me it’s an absolute classic of a tune....

You talk of overthrowing power with violence as your tool
You speak of liberation and when the people rule
Well ain't it people rule right now, what difference would there be?
Just another set of bigots with their rifle-sights on me.

And oh look, they’ve nicked my avatar ;)

For those that don’t know Crass, this is some serious in your face punk. They were debated in UK parliament around about 1982 iirc as a threat to society.
