The Rugby Thread - Part Deux

Very good game from the boks. I saw a sneaky trip tackle from Richie Mounga but when I switched now to Sky Sports NZ guess what.

First thing they say again is very questionable calls from officials... Sigh

You know they had a great game when you think why the hell was De Allende not man of the match. Then again Eben could also been MOTM. Maybe Arendse.

I just saw the old SA flag in the crowd. I’m going to bite my tongue and leave this for later. I don’t want this negative energy for the next few hours.

I will admit I was not a Krappies fan after game 2. But man oh man...has he changed my mind!!

2 brilliant tests in a row from this man.
Dude! Same here, his defence is insane for a scrumhalf, definitely deserves to be picked as starter, must also add just like Krappies, Ethan Hooker is still inexperienced and green, but also did very well in defence, high balls and overall play against waaaaaay more experienced opposition.

Does Deon Fourie have pics of Rassie on Epstein Island? He's not even close to the second best hooker or all round loose forward in the country. We started losing lineouts after he came on.
Hope Rassie retires him when he turns 40.

Yes. A number of contenders.

I need to rewatch the test but on first viewing in a noisy pub, the general consensus was we totally dominated.

Once again NZ scored a meaningless try. They've done that in every one of the 4 tests ie a try at the death making the losing margin more respectable. In the case of Ellis park a flattering winning margin.

50-14 would have been an accurate reflection of last night's game.

Magnificent.

Yeah that score was very flattering for NZ and cost us some ranking points.

I was listening to Sky the whole game with Jeff Wilson and Justin Marshall. Even Marshall, who I usually think is fair, could not stop moaning about ref decisions.

This is part of the problem, because when you go to Stuff.co.nz and over to Youtube, they moan about the referee because that's what they are fed on their television sets.

They are asking why the TMO went back to Roigard being offside.. I mean.

Nobody is ever better than them either. It's "Boks on roids" or "Ref crap" and "game was stolen from us" and "red card in final" etc etc.

For the record, they looked well on their way to be beaten before they got the red card in RWC 2023 and seemed to grow an arm and a leg after that.

And they are at the scrum again with the break foot... conveniently it was not an issue in test 2, but now it is.

Nobody complain more about the refs than South Africans. Just read this thread.

The early tackle /trip was a slam dunk for me. Not entirely sure what the ref was looking at

The roigard breakaway was also lucky. If that went the other way we would have had a yellow card

14 pts lingered on marginal calls

This time we got the rub of the green

They moaned about the referee and the scrums even after winning comprehensively in test 1. Yes, we all complain about the ref, they are taking it to another level now.

Rassie is probably at fault for starting it all, but since his ban, has kept away from it. NZ, on the other hand, have their coaches complaining about the ref after every game.
