Specifically at 8?

Hmmmmm, Wiese is getting on but he's still the incumbent and worthy of the no. 1 spot. TBH haven't seen him play much lately. Is he even? Injured? Suspended?

Kwagga is great at 6,7 or 8 but not a starter. Great finisher.

Roos has his issues. TBH I'm not a fan, although some might think I am. I just don't feel the hate is justified. Just BTW no yellow cards for Roos this season so far...

Hanekom is a legend in the making. Still early doors in his career though and injuries have been the demise of many a legend in the making. All things being equal he is likely our starting 8 or at the very least part of the match day 23, come 2027 RWC...

Horne, great 8, great servant to Lions rugby. Don't see him as a test 8 though. The tricky thing with the Lions, they're the sum of all parts. No superstars, but collectively a weapon...

Kolisi, 6 or sticks. Don't see him as a natural 8.

Not hate so much as acknowledgement of his issues.

Fixation on how many yellow cards is a distraction, not a representation of negative impact he has.

A player could easily have a yellow card and yet have had vastly less negative discipline record over the season as well as negative impact on their team with their performances. Roos is a solid case in point of exactly that, his game against Ulster a good example.

His season stats are not great when you look at them in totality. Card count does not represent the picture whatsoever.

More than a penalty a game, regular brainfarts leading to opponents scoring//Stormers not, as well 23 turnovers CONCEDED, not won, over course of the season.

He's been the weakest link as often as he has the motm. That inconsistency is a valid concern, counting against him for selection at test lvl, at his best, he is Bok material sure, but he is just too inconsistent at club lvl, let alone senior lvl where the pressure would be significantly more to rationally expect an improvement in consistency vs decrease, where likely see more of the issues, than not at higher lvls.

Wiese is earning the big $$$ in Japan (apparently in the region of R20m per year)

Kolisi and Kwagga both for the 6 jumper. With so many outstanding rights, why play Kwagga there? I'd rather play Kwagga off the bench than Marco.

Did not see the match and now I'm glad I didn't. Looks like the Stormers will have to travel for the top 4 play-offs as they will surely drop to 3rd with this loss and Leinster should beat the Ospreys to go 2nd.

Bulls and Stormers have locked in home quarter finals. Lions are in the top 8 too. Only the Sharks who were nowhere this year

Quarter finals isn't it?

Lions, at best can finish 5th and would meet Bulls in the quarters.

Most likely they'll finish 8th and play Glasgow in Scotland.
