Keo stirring the pot a bit with some truth.

Keo said:
Kolbe in 217 first-class matches has kicked three penalties, one drop goal and 11 conversions. He kicked no points in 46 matches for Western Province. He kicked no points for Toulon in 17 matches. He kicked just two penalties and four conversions from the tee in 82 matches for Toulouse and his most prolific season was seven conversions for the Stormers in 2017 – the only season in which he kicked for goal in 49 matches.

He then proceeds to Willemse.

Keo said:
Willemse, in a career of 100-plus matches less, has kicked 60 conversions, two drop goals and 39 penalties. It would have sent a message from the coaches to Willemse … that he is the future for the Boks at No 10 but to be that future he needs to be the goalkicker.

Instead, it was a cop-out from the national coach based on a blatant lie about Kolbe’s first-class goal-kicking record.

To cap it off, Jake White had the following to say.

Jake said:
I saw earlier this week Jacques Nienaber defending the fact Damian Willemse was kicking on Saturday night. He explained that the only way you improve is by kicking in front of big crowds, but I don’t understand that logic because Willemse was demoted as a front-line goal-kicker by the Stormers for Manie Libbok because he wasn’t sticking the ball through the uprights regularly enough, so that rationale doesn’t really wash. The reality is he wasn’t kicking at provincial level and then they thrust him into a Test match as the main kicker, so got what they deserved. There’s no use dodging the bullet; Jonny Wilkinson won England the World Cup, Percy Montgomery won South Africa the World Cup, Dan Carter won the All Blacks the World Cup because they were brilliant kickers. Hindsight doesn’t win you Test matches and they missed a trick.

Glad I'm not the only one that's perplexed by it all.

Looking forward to tonight's game - Munster vs SA "A".
Should be a tough scrap - windy and rain predicted.

I'm not so sure. I keep on getting these bad feelings about a loss when I think about the Boks be it's the Springboks or Springboks 'A'

Let's just hope they can win because we will NEVER hear the end of it if Munster whacks the A side lol.

You forget springboks 'a' beat the Lions last year, it's our best side

Munster is surely bereft of all their first choice players to national duty so we should have no issues dispatching them.

Munster still have some internationals lined up, I believe and they should be more cohesive although they are also transitioning with a new, albeit experienced, coach.

I will be really surprised if we win this.

Munster is outplaying us. We keep on giving away penalties and a card will likely follow soon.

Not surprised.

Our SA 'A' teams don't do well. Lost to the Bulls as well.

The only time they won was when they were the full Boks in all but name.

You can't send half your coaching staff away with half the squad and give them a few days to click and perform.

Only NZ manages to do that.

Emerging Ireland?

If our players are good and the coaching is good, then you should be good enough to overcome the issue of not having played as a team...

I think the tides have turned and SA Rugfby is once again on a downward trend sadly. Narrow minded coaching IMO

SA A team struggling against a currently 14th placed team in the URC table.

WTFH is going on with SA rugby these days (since Rassie left the camp)
We should be whipping their backsides not the other way round.

Well I just knew that were weren't going to win it but yeah I was hoping for it to be a close game not completely outplayed by a Munster team currently struggling in the URC.

It pretty much tells you SA Rugby is gone and zero chance of winning the world cup.

That said the narrow-minded coaching of pick n go and forward muscle is getting boring now. Munster coach even said in the pre match interview he expects it to be very physical and they knew it and fronted up and scored tries by taking the ball wide and running against us. Typical SA coaching.

If we don't generate forward ball with the forwards, we kick from 9 and once again we lost because of it. I don't understand how the coaches can't wrap their head around this when as fans and viewers we can see it's not working.

My apologies, Rassie is in fact on the coaches team for the Northern hemisphere tour, but irrespective, the mindset by Nienaber and his team is irrefutable, unable to adapt to changing times and tactics in international rugby.
What worked for Rassie a few years ago won't/isn't working.
Hopefully this series will be the wake up/ shake up call that is needed.

I like getting the breakdowns before the game on this channel. Two cents does a great job especially when I haven't really followed what the opposition teams have been doing.

I find the backline a strange combination. De Allende and Kriel arguably the least passing centres in the game combined with probably the two most explosive running wings Kolbe and Arendse in SA who I just don't see getting the ball very much.

Maybe they are thinking Le Roux will get the backline moving?

With the kicking game atleast we can bring on Libbock when Willemse messes it up. I hope Libbock has a good start but you never know how people do when playing for SA.
