Dru's took it, hard game as only Fujian's know how.

Reds/Force up. Cant see Force beating the Reds.

Wow okay so the Crusaders lost against the Chiefs today

The Drua almost got the better of the Reds in the end over the weekend. Dangerous as ever from broken play.

Interesting to note the Kiwis' opinion on the NZ SR franchises' breakdown. Saying it is slow compared to the NH.

Starts from around 17-18 min into this video.

So Bismarck gets away with a punch to the head because there wasn't any angles but the Western get a card for a guy sliding in after a try is scored.

Sometimes the way the laws are enforced is just not good enough.

Racing 92 v Stade Francais is a really good game.

Some good rugby on this weekend.

Super rugby NZL teams v AUS teams and then URC matches.

What a controversial end to the Varsity Cup Final!!!!!

The Anzac inspired fanfare before the Western Force/Blues game is a bit cringe! Guard of honour, speeches, anthems, fireworks... f uck me...

Pass was forward. Terrible decision to award the try.

There was no clear evidence it was forward though. The back angle showed it was forward. Then they look at the only other angle they have and it looks flat at worse.

TMO made the right call. There is no clear evidence to conclusively rule the pass was forward.

Pass was as forward as a Seapoint prostitute! Daylight robbery! But officially, you right... anyway...

Tell you what, watching some school boy rugby, Wildeklawer tournament played in Kimberley, hosted at Hoerskool Diamantveld!! Great, great annual tournament this has become, never mind the more prestigious Easter festivals played at Saints, KES and St. Johns...

U16A's Grey v Boland Landbou, cracking game!!

The standard of SA school boy rugby is next level! It' honestly one area where are and have remained world class! Best in the world!

I wish we were playing international school boy rugby more often!

Japan host a series called the Sanix world championship but not since Covid. SA schools have dominated the championship in the past.

Then there was a South v North school boy championship hosted at Paarl, for a number of years, also not since Covid but the SA schools rolled all and sundry in the 3 or 4 seasons it was hosted.

Magnificent product!!

Grey College, most likely and consistently, the best school boy rugby side in SA and globally too. Not particularly strong this year round but still....

If you look at the results in the Sanix comp since 2000, NZ have won a total of 11 times, followed by SA on 6. On the weight of those results you'd say SA is 2nd to NZ but if you look at the sides that were sent to the comp in the years they were runners up? St. Albans (2003), Ermelo High School (2004), Marais Viljoen (2010), Daniel Pienaar technical (2013), Framesby (2017, were not ranked in the Top 20 in SA in 2017), none of those schools are consistently ranked in the Top 10 in SA. Hell, most of those schools would battle to make Top 20.

Paarl Boys side that finished 3rd in 2011 was a very good side, Top 5 but the Paarl Boys side that finished 2nd in 2014 was ranked 9th. Paarl then dominated the rankings in 2015/6/7 and would have been supreme contenders at Sanix. Despite their absence Paul Roos Gim and Glenwood high won the titles. Paul Roos Gim in 2015 was ranked Top 5 and Glenwood in 2016 was ranked 9th.

The opening ceremony, kicked off at 17.30, a glimpse of the participants!! As broken as the country is, this is where you begin to repair it!!

Geesus that was a kuk game. Bulls Glasgow. A win is a win though. Bulls lineouts a bit hit and miss. Backs not particularly sharp either. Missing Edwils x factor and the Vorster/Mapoe cohesion as a centre pairing.
