My only concern is Willemse's goal kicking. In what could be a very tight match, a missed conversion or penalty could be crucial. Let's hope he's on song with the boot.
Faf can kick too which is at least a mitigation. But I do agree with you!

Quite incredible how much is up for debate between the two teams fielded, last week, vs this, as to who are the better on form players and who are not, form vs reputation... experience... lack of experience. Bok depth seems wonderfully stacked. Even the balance between exhuberant youth and calm elder heads.

Good / great problems to have

With all the hype about winning against Australia, let see how they flop against the All Black team :)
Interestingly... the Boks vs ABs stats under Rassie as director makes for interesting reading.

Rugby champs:
7 matches played
3 wins each
3 losses each
1 draw

Boks
1 Win in NZ
1 Draw in NZ
0 Losses in NZ!
1 Win in SA
2 Losses in SA!
1 Loss in Aus
1 Win in Aus

ABs
2 Wins in SA!
1 Loss in SA
1 Draw in NZ
1 Loss in NZ
0 Wins in NZ!
1 Loss in Aus
1 Win in Aus

179 pts for Boks vs 175 pts for ABs.

The WC 2019 group stage match is the decider, giving edge to ABs, but was Boks who won the World Cup....

Mostly ou toppies. Lots of experience for sure, but perhaps a bit too old on average?
The AB team is younger and faster. Boks will have to slow down the game or else it could be a long afternoon (or morning in SA).

The South African rugby team victories are always short lived. They do play boring and predictable rugby. They get into a state of euphoria when they win....just to flop the very next game.
Yes...flops that won 3x RWCs...beat the B&I Lions again.

Are you a NZ supporter? And why have you not gone to that thread to gnash your teeth and tear your clothes over the state of that horrible Super Rugby competition and how badly the All Blacks did last year (including losing to Ireland 3x in a 6-month period)?

They kinda did things backwards at the 2019 WC didn't they? All part of the plan to get the loss done with early before it mattered?

This is something you cannot accuse the current crop of players of doing. The template has certainly changed. France were lucky to hold onto the win last year when we toured and then we annihilated England at Fortress Twickenham.

Father of Bok captain Eben Etzebeth dies
