Don't be rude.

Anyway, I thought I'd post a link to VMTV Rugby Pod cause I know how much Saffa's love Matt Williams. Merely to illustrate my point that it's very easy to find pundits and coaches that complain when the 50/50s go against them. It has sadly become the norm in rugby...

He surely can't be serious by saying that brining on 6 forwards from the bench is a discrimination against backline players because the game is for all shapes and sizes...

What about Irelands forwards being bigger than ours? Oh... and Kwaga? Short arse played 8th man for us... Lots of sizes :P

win is a win... it was scrappy but thats due to the new style of play still in the process of being bedded down.

That said, its exciting to see new wrinkles in our game... we asked some good questions of the irish, and still also have the power game to fall back on or to mix in when needed. and also calm heads prevailed under pressure

Not the cleanest technical performance, but definitely encouraging

Exciting times

True but we had some soft moments on defence.

we definitely did not look after the breakdown up to usual standards

so i think most of the time it would have been at turnover

i think because of the new attack patterns there are some changes to how we intend to defend

new systems, so guys are getting used to that

heres one from left field, but maybe im going too rassie on this.

i wouldnt be surprised if we have set plays where we allow for a turnover because we think not having the ball in a certain area of the field will actually benefit us...

naa thats too crazy

Absolute rubbish the Boks playing in away kit for their home games!

Edit:
Apparently Rugby does it backwards... Away teams play their home kit, home teams play alternate kit. Went back at past games against Ireland, and yeah, we over there, our Green/Gold and they played alternate kit...

... wierd.

I don't like it at all, but apparently its a tradition between us and Ireland that the home team play in their "away" its. Traditionally if we toured there, they would play in navy blue and if they came here we would play in white. Think we should change that tradition, or we should burn our checkers sixty60 shirts.

Or at least charge them for advertising revenue

Lol Is rugby now cricket where pitch conditions needs to be assessed. Great to host this tournament in the Cape in winter at stadiums with average at best drainage.
First game today abandoned without a ball kicked. For now other two going ahead.
Every year it's the same story, wet and muddy. Hopefully this year they will have learnt their lessons. There are other provinces capable of hosting the event other than the WC. This could have serious repercussions for future hosting rights....

Sad for the junior Boks not making the semis.
Why are we playing these games in the Western Cape when we have far better weather this time of year in the Freestate and Gauteng.
Would've thought the coaches would've done better work preparing the boys for wet conditions as well, especially when such weakness has been a prevailing trend since 2022-2023 seasons etc.
