For sure the refs were shyte. Would have been relevant if we lost a close game but when its comes to big margins - 15+, the losing team can only blame themselves.

I'd take the return of RG for the loss of Salmaan every ChristmasEarly Christmas present.

Maybe I've missed it, but my understanding is that under the current trial all reds are 20-min reds? What are folks thoughts on the 20minute red card rules?
Personally, like the concept, but the execution is dumb, same how rugby nonsensically has the double yellow equals a red copy from soccer when rules for cards are worlds apart.
Just keep it simple stupid imho.
Single yellow infractions (10minutes off sin-bin)
Double yellow infractions (twenty minutes sin-bin)
Red infractions (sent off rest of the match)
A player must be replaced after received a 2nd yellow (whether as two seperate single yellow or a single double yellow infraction)
Players cannot be replaced when receiving a red
Single yellow is current yellow card rules (what gets a yellow now)
Double yellow infractions for the stuff they making get '20 minute red'
Red infractions all the stuff red cards were originally about, grossly egrenious behaviour.
Make it easy for fans to follow and understand, a red card meaning two different things on the pitch is just silly. People already confused what's going on with 20minute red and that just the announcement of the rules, just look at how off the mark the French concerns are, missing how 20 minute red card doesn't mean 'full' red no longer exist.

Yes, the carded player is gone for the rest of the game but the team can bring on a replacement after 20 mins.Maybe I've missed it, but my understanding is that under the current trial all reds are 20-min reds?
Not for ALL incidents. The really egrenious stuff like foul play, punches, fights, etc, are still full reds. edit: the 20 minute reds about how much rugby has evolved, the new rules against head clashes etc, things that are bad, yes, but they not on the same level as what reds were always originally about, and trying to balance it after the dramas at the WC.Yes, the carded player is gone for the rest of the game but the team can bring on a replacement after 20 mins.
Oh...that's confusing as all hellNot for ALL incidents. The really egrenious stuff like foul play, punches, fights, etc, are still full reds.
Like the confusion/fuss people made about lineout rule, that you could just throw it skew to scrumhalf and all that noise, but wasn't accurate, still against the rules.
Same as the scrum law changes everyone went crazy about, yet, not nearly the impact the media made it out to be, with also, many implied things, like giving away free kicks to avoid scrums, yet that in itself is against the rules already, and would continue to be.Oh...that's confusing as all hell![]()
So how does a player know whether they've received a 20-min or full red?Not for ALL incidents. The Vodacom Bulls felt vindicated as a Vodacom United Rugby Championship disciplinary committee rescinded the red card given to midfielder David Kriel during Saturday night’s win over the Ospreys in Swansea.
The card, which perplexed many and created a lot of debate on social media, came as Kriel attempted to hand off a defender and instead ended up striking him in the throat. While the ref and assistant referees both thought the hand off was ok, a string of television replays and a baying crowd convinced referee Eoghan Cross to review the incident and stunningly handed Kriel his first red card of his career.
While coach Jake White and several other commentators believed it wasn’t worthy of a card, it forced the Bulls onto the back foot, but they regrouped and still won the game 29-19.

Stormers liteIf this game was played on paper, the Sharks will win by 50. What a line up!
I myself battle to understand how the Sharks lose games with that line-up. Although most are Boks who haven't played for them in a while.
