For the second week in a row, a Bulls red card has rightly been rescinded.

NEWS UPDATE: For the second successive week in the United Rugby Championship the Bulls had a red card rescinded.

rugby365com can confirm that the red card issued against replacement hooker Johan Grobbelaar – for a high tackle on Scarlets prop Marnus van der Merwe in the 67th minute of the 22-23 loss in Llanelli last Friday – has been ‘downgraded’ to a yellow card.

The formal announcement from the URC will follow later, but Grobbelaar is free to play.

Lol, corrective action my arse ..... no consequences for these muppets. Two weeks in a row you have a ridiculous decision reversed but it doesn't change things caused by that ridiculous decision. Pisses me off more than certain moaners here.
 
I have not watched any URC this year, with any of these red cards, was there contact to the head?

Is there a bunker system being used in the URC, like there was during the previous WC?

Kriel was hand off/elbow to the throat/chin.

Grobbies was tackle on the ball which caused whiplash and a glancing blow on the shoulder/head of the Welsh hooker. He went down in a writhing heap. Looked to be at deaths door but recovered in time to take the lineout from the ensuing penalty. Milked it in other words. No hia in either case.

Still with libbok and now that other middle of the roader willemse. Otherwise rest of team is looking good
 
One of the best backs in rugby ....... Uhm, no. Seasoned sure but nothing special and very predictable

I’ve literally never heard anyone call him mediocre. Whether it is on twitter or the rugby subreddit or planet rugby forum. Opposition fans absolutely rate him. He is a double world cup winner that is 26 years old. When he is fit he walks back into the 15 jersey. There is nothing predictable about him. He was just man of the match this past week playing at 10. Mediocre players don’t play in this springbok team. Go on social media and call him mediocre. I would love to see the reaction. Have you actually watched him play?

I'd pick both Willie and Fassi above him at 15.

I disagree. Rassie seems to think the same which is why Willemse starts when he is fit and Willie on the bench. Fassi is playing well but he only started because Willemse was injured.

Not scared of social media and have commented many times on him and others. Willemse reactors - capeys, as expected. Not as rated by the rest of the country as you may think mate. He has very little bmt, much like libbok ... shows up for his home team but test matches, meh.
