Green flank holding black 9, creating a hole for green 9 to run through.

Pead would probably have scored anyway. Very stupid infringement from a 5 metre scrum already going in reverse.

Must give it another watch to see it, but yeah stupid infringement that.

It's interesting to see how the Currie Cup has gone from THE premier rugby competition in SA to a feeder/development system for the URC and other more illustrious competitions. I will still watch some games though.

To be fair last year's comp was very good.

A lot of teams playing an attractive and expansive game of rugby. I watched a fair amount live at Ellis park and seldom left disappointed. Good value too compared to urc.

The problem is (and it's a nice to have problem), there's simply too much rugby on TV these days. The audience can afford to be picky on what they watch and when. In this regard CC is a bit meh.

That happened back in the 90”s
Super Rugby was way bigger.

Great test match, very entertaining.

Glad that foul play wasn't ruled at that final cleanout. Aussie milked it for all it was worth. The f uckers can't help themselves, cheats!!

If that EXACT same scenario took place, but with Etzebeth taking out a Lions player, the reeeeeing from the North would have surpassed the SETI signal that is searching for life in the cosmos....

Just sayin'

Yip. Goes without saying.

To be fair, depending who you support that was/wasn't a foul. Andy Farrel was asked in the post match interviews. Good clean out is what he thought. Hmmmm.

Such is the nature of the game. 50/50s have become the bane of ones existence.

According to the letter of the law it probably was a foul but we've seen many clean outs like that go un-penalized. Also the over reaction from the player didn't help. He was hit relatively hard but his reaction was akin to what we expect in the round ball version of rugby ie football.

Rugby and the plethora of obfuscated laws governing it, is becoming a hindrance more than anything else.

It was a highly entertaining and generally high quality test match but here we are discussing the clean out that decided it. It's a shame really...
