So it would probably boil down to him being sequestrated and the limitations that places on him being able to sign contracts...

But its funny as fsck if you ask me.
yeah, speaker doesn't sign contracts buy mayors do. Good decision though. Did he get to feel secure with his 100 body guards for few days or was that tender not given yet ?

The South African Revenue Services (SARS) on Tuesday said President Cyril Ramaphosa and his companies - Ntaba Nyoni Estate, and Ntaba Nyoni Feedlot - "are compliant with their tax obligations to date."

SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter made the announcement following "considerable public interest and concern" in the president's affairs. This followed the revenue service's announcement that Hazim Mustafa, the Sudanese businessman who paid $580 000 in cash to Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm, did not declare the money he brought into the country in December 2019. The money is subject to a probe by the Public Protector.

Ok, that's cool and everything. But the problem is the illegal tender...

New mayor will get the bodyguards from that contract and then have to go through the process of ending the contract and all the CCMA troubles.

So maybe COPE did us all a favour and fscked whoever else the ANC/EFF abortion try to insert into the position.

There is only 1 way to get it done that doesn't involve the ANC/SA government approving it, and its called rebellion and open war basically.
South Africa would crush the Cape Independence rebels, they are probably weaker than even the then Boeremag threat.

The Ramokgopas are winning, another one is based at Luthuli House. Nkadimeng's photo gave me a bit of a skrik, I thought they had appointed this one:

Why are you using the colonizers language? Your ancestors are going to disown you.

Good that the law has been applied. Was he legally elected speaker by the DA-led coalition? I don't know know if the insolvency rule only applies to mayors or to speakers too.
The disqualification disqualified him not just as a Mayor but as a councillor, which means he was also not allowed to hold any public office, including that of the Speaker.
