UF holds Newcastle.

IFP gets an absolute win over ANC in Mtubatuba. The UF coalition in Mtubatuba is strengthened.

DA holds Cape Agulhas. But loses some ground to FF+ and PA (sadly). Seems like the strange trend continues, for the Afrikaner votes and some Coloured voters DA loses, they seem to regain in other Coloured and Black communities...

UF holds Cederberg.

I.e. we're moving into coalition politics. Where members of a coalition assist the member who needs to defend a ward, by not contesting them and instead promoting them.

Good to see the EFF failing, they will be a sub 10% party come 2024.

Looks like the Patriotic Alliance coalition with the ANC continues to harm them, they will be dead in 2024.

Just so you are aware, the PA candidate in the Cederberg was previously the winner of ward 6 as part of the CE party. So perhaps not quite as impressive as at first glance...

The jury is out on whether this was a good result for the PA. It fielded the incumbent candidate but finished third behind the ANC and CE. It won the important Wupperthal district, but its ward candidate is well known there.

Good article by Rose.
But it was the testimony of Barbara Hogan, the former minister of public enterprises, that was perhaps most devastating to the ANC. She told Zondo that party structures “saw it as their right to instruct a minister who should be appointed and not appointed”, something she considered an “abuse of power”.

Go wash some feet Barbara

Well Floyd likes to cement his reputation as a complete and utter retard in my opinion.

Fsck off Floyd, you're just looking for your backhands.
Well, going by **** like:
"We need to approve the proposal by Rosatom – the Rosatom power station and nuclear energy company, which currently provides more than 20% of electricity in the Russian Federation.
Ah yes, and just get captured by the Russians this time round, not like they'd hold us hostage if the gov doesn't want to play ball with them anymore... Not like it will be a catastrophe at all like Kusile and Medupi... Never mind a Chernobyl event...
"But due to those who are seeking bribes, those who are trying to extort the people who awarded that bid, the Karpowerships cannot be plugged into the grid, to now ameliorate the energy crisis that we have," Shivambu said, while Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe stroked his goatee.

"The reality is that, in the immediate, you have got no other solution except plugging in FSRUs [Floating Storage Regasification Units] from Turkey, from China and from the Russian Federation.
That's the thing, there are no "immediate" solutions to load shedding, Shivambu. And any "immediate" solution will only screw us over more in the medium-to-long term.

In conclusion, I agree with you.
