I'm not even sure why Lesotho and 'Eswatini" are their own countries. They are both landlocked and both rely on South Africa for just about everything.
So that they cannot blame us for being shítholes in the same way the ANC still blame apartheid. All the traditional homelands should have been completely separate countries.

But, wait - there is more from SRF. And, now we know & trust SRF, we should trust this one as well.

Ok, and? Was this your attempt at a gotcha moment?

Anyway, it's a tad sad ANC has 52% now (went up from 50% last time, probably because of the coalition chaos in GP), although they could easily drop again too...

I think it's this system of voting.
I do understand it if you are voting for multiple people like NEC members who needs to be ranked on the list, it just seems like an unnecessary chore if only one person is going to emerge, if I want John I want John, I don't see the point of also indicating that I don't prefer Phalatse.

Only trusted poll is the election results after election is done.

But in my opinion, if ANC wins, it would mean they have manipulated the voters by KFC and rigging of votes.

I guess they're using a "one size" approach, to use this system for all the leadership elections.

Sure, but IMO, polls and by-elections are at the very least, good indicators of where people's heads are going in the run-up to an election.

No matter how it goes, if news articles are to be believed, I suspect Ms Phalatse is going to fall flat on her face. She will probably get the least votes by an experiment.

Mangaung council sitting to elect mayor called off amid threats to ANC councillors
A special sitting of the Mangaung council called to elect a new mayor on Thursday was cancelled.
Municipality spokesperson Qondile Khedama said the newly elected Speaker Maryke Davies had cancelled the meeting.
"As per the directive of the Speaker, councillor Maryke Davies, the special council meeting scheduled for Thursday is hereby cancelled. This is as a result of threats and intimidation meted at councillors and in order to calm the current prevailing situation," the statement read.
This was after a group of ANC councillors went against the party line and voted with the opposition in the election of the speaker on Wednesday.
The party has since threatened its councillors with polygraph tests and is expected to expel up to 18.

Mmm.

Lots of bold statements but you do know that Greg Krumbock is the DA's Federal Congress Presiding Officer? A lot of his statements are just wishful thinking.

Also- we do know that the ANC is a weakened beast- but a mammoth it still is- they lost a lot of ground during the last elections but I think that even with a dismal performance at the polls- they still retained a substainable majority of all voting wards.
