I don't know. I visit only this forum now a days and it seems it is just a formality for John to be the president now.

The internet is not the representative of the country. I don't know about JS being president. I still see the ANC being in power in some form and Cyril hanging on, just.

Don't see how that is relevant. She used to support the ANC and told us about it when she first started working for us. I told her then that is her choice.
But you just said 'as long as its not the ANC/ EFF'. I mean surely- as an employee-I would feel some pressure to not bite the hand that feeds me?

That would just be you...
Most employees would just lie, or be aware that there is a difference between a conversation between people and things that would impact employment.

'their stated aims of ousting the ANC in the 2024 elections are divorced from reality. That reality, whether the DA spin doctors like it or not, is that it does not have enough support among nonwhite voters and is seen as a party in danger of veering to the right.'

I notice the Citizen don't have a set of balls to assign a real person to that opinion piece.

The ANC is making some neutral strides,

Digging ever deeper: ANC visits Moscow to meet its new BFF — Putin’s United Russia party

There is a News24 article too, but it is pay gated,

ANC delegation in Moscow pushes for closer relations with Putin's United Russia party

At least the ANC seem to have grown a set of balls and are actively putting their feet firmly in the Russian camp...

The 'World Order' speak is echoing ever more…

Anyhow, don't want to derail the DA discussion.

Natasha Mazonne is a dual citizen. She is a citizen of Italy and of South Africa.

This is quite an interesting development. Im not sure what are the rules about people holding dual citizenships being in parliament.

You only finding this out now?

And there are no rules, she is an SA citizen and very likely born and bred here so is legally allowed to be in Parliament.

I dont think its as clear cut as you are making it out to be. The Sunday Times reported yesterday that she has been barred from the intelligence committee and hasnt attended a single meeting due to complications related to her dual citizenship.

Thats different altogether and would relate to her Security Clearance and potential issues with that and thus not being able to be an effective committee member

So it looks like there are rules.

You asked specifically about Parliament, and ok I may have been hasty in saying there are no rules, but I am not aware of any rule that prevents a SA citizen by birth from being a member of parliament if they hold a second countries citizenship as well.

But your example of Intelligence committee would relate to her Security Clearance, not her being a member of parliament..

Why focus on the EFF (10% of the last vote) and not the ruling party? This is what happens when you put an uneducated pillock in charge
