DA supporters on this forum are very naïve.
Funny I think the opposite; all the DA naysayers and haters are naive and have an inability to recognise that the DA is the oaficial opposition, governs by far the best and generally has policies most closely aligned to successful first world countries; real non-racism (not the ANC's propaganda version), capitalism and rational service delivery by not excluding the actual ratepayers. Many of the haters cannot abide the blunt, honest and direct approach of a Helen Zille or the woke who have to hate male whiteness of Steenhuisen, ignoring that this just gives the ANC (and EFF) power. The scribblers like Poplak fall into this slot, for me they ooze envy and jealousy, many having backed the lame and dishonest horse of Ramaphosa and the ANC.

The DA is not perfect by any means but I believe one should be pragmatic if you really want a better SA and do not have a vested interest in letting the ANC continue their trail of incompetence and corruption, support the DA.

Here's a summary of naïve,
- Supporters not seeing a problem with the DA's out of touch approach to coalitions in their winner take all approach that the DA must lead is a non-negotiable
- Supporters not seeing that Zille keeps overshadowing JS
- Supporters not understanding that if JS is leader he needs to lead not follow Zille
- Supporters not understanding or seeing that Pappas/Hill-Lewis may be good at managing a municipalaity but they are not good at political leadership. They may well grow into good politicians but that is still a long way off
- JS is actually pretty unproven as leader & nowhere near the mould of previous DA leaders (Maimane was the same, an unproven idealist the ANC toyed with)

So the DA will only offer world class services to those areas that vote for them? It helps to find bright social media influencers who don't suffer from the foot in mouth disease.
Hold up, are you saying the area controlled by the ANC is not getting service delivery because of the DA?

As bright as the DA influencer I see, there are no areas controlled by the ANC is Cape Town, it's one municipality and governed by the DA.

Seems like a divorce between Rob Hersov and the DA might be imminent
I lost all respect for Rob when he suggested we plug into the nuclear submarine to help with loadshitting. I also remember him saying he wasn't a member of the DA during the march to Luthuli House. The more Rob speaks, the dumber he sounds imho.

There so clearly is another way. One had only to look at the scenes of jubilant and enthused delegates at the DA’s jamboree for tangible hints that the DA is far more “nonracial’’ than the ANC, by all measures more demographically representative of race, class, region and language in SA than the ANC. It has become a truly SA party, modern in its outlook and energised by the future rather than the past. Its detractors see this as a cloak to obscure its alleged protection of white and minority interests.
