You okes really love Roman Cabanac and his team. Cabanac describes himself as "very conservative" so it seems this media is seen as the most trustworthy here.

I just thought it was nice to hear from an ex eskom employee’s thoughts of living in the Uk and the changes he’s observed here when he came back. No, not at all. He does raise some valid points sometimes but misses the mark on others.
Just pointing out how much appreciation he gets here and even though he has an agenda (which he is entitled to have), there is never questioning of it by the same people who will accuse other outlets of having an agenda and claim they are not reputable as a result.
Ok, if you say so.This also happens all the time here, especially when the DA, VF+ or Afriforum come under scrutiny.
SAA is fscked either way. Qualifications and a Western management mentality of going through the motions and implementing systems and controls cannot safe it.Big cadre fan of squirrel, his loyalty is rewarded. He only has a matric so even Dudu Myeni has better qualifications than him.
Hanekom ensures that incompetence and corruption under the ANC regime is demographically correct. IMHO he is as corrupt and incompetent as just about anyone in the ANC. The "land restitution" debacle was set in motion under his time as minister and I have good evidence that he was trapped lying in a recorded phone call relating to land. Just another ANC rat.SAA is fscked either way. Qualifications and a Western management mentality of going through the motions and implementing systems and controls cannot safe it.
To safe SAA lots of unpopular decisions need to be made and serious cuts to find any kind of business that can still be profitable. That is unlikely.
You and your fellow race grifters should be happy someone white is chosen to be the fall guy.
When JuliusSeizure talks about nats it is the 1980's NP that ended apartheid voluntarily. In the SA context, as I remember it, the Nats did a great job of gerrymandering; even though they lacked a majority they fiddled the constituencies such that rural Afrikaans constituencies with say 10 000 voters had one MP whereas an urban constituency with 20 000 also only had one. Thus in their first election "win" they, the Nats, did not get the majority of votes but did get a majority of MPS's. The rest is history, noting that the apartheid loving Nats never had a huge majority in terms of actual numbers of votes. All pale of course and plenty room for correction in what I "remember" of this stuff.
Sutcliffe is/was the ANC's version as an architect of this gerrymandering; IMHO of course.
The contract for the 90 rammers was awarded to a company on the East Rand, with R12 million for “training” deposited into the personal bank account of its CEO. Another R13 million was paid for the training, but there is no record of its occurence and no guidelines for deciding which veterans should be selected for it.
The department of defence and military veterans purchased 90 rammers for the project – 10 for each province. Most of them apparently disappeared mysteriously from a store in Roodepoort and cannot be traced.

Corruption in the name of empowerment. In what universe is the department of military veterans involved in road repairs. That's if you ignore the obvious corruption.

Typical. ANC's studio is imploded by uMngeni quickly becoming a Midvaal...ANC up to their dirty tricks again.
The ANC in the Moses Mabhida Region, which is made up of Pietermaritzburg and surrounding towns, has made clear its support for a proposal to have uMngeni Municipality, which has Howick as its town, amalgamated with Mpofana (Mooi River) and Impendle municipalities.
no. no. I didn't mean that way.. dammit..So you concede, even Dudu Myeni has better qualifications than John Steenhuisen?

I curiously looked up the '48 results long ago...In the SA context, as I remember it, the Nats did a great job of gerrymandering; even though they lacked a majority they fiddled the constituencies such that rural Afrikaans constituencies with say 10 000 voters had one MP whereas an urban constituency with 20 000 also only had one. If we had a PR system at the time, the UP would've easily been able to form a coalition with the Labour Party blocking the NP. The reason why the NP got so many seats, is because of how a constituency system works...
The same situation applies to the 1953 election:
National Party 598,718 49.48 94 +15 United Party 576,474 47.65 57 –8 Labour Party 34,730 2.87 5 –1 Native Representative Members 3 0
IMO we as SA have seen the downsides of both PR and constituency systems, hence a mix of the best parts of the two will be the best electoral system for SA.
Until around 1977, when the UP basically imploded after merging with a group of NP moderates forming the New Republic Party.United Party or SA Party - Jan Smuts', later de Villiers Graaf's lot.
