The two councillors, who are known to The Witness, but cannot be named as the matter has not yet been fully finalised, have been undergoing disciplinary hearings since last year following the Mpophomeni electricity protest that took place in July 2022.

Another video that The Witness has seen shows a group of people being given food from a bakkie in Merrivale.

In the video, a vehicle belonging to one of the two ANC councillors can be seen.

Remember that vid, where they were handing out **** to protesters and Pappas himself immediately said that those two were ANC councillors...

Expect absolutely zero to change.

Granted, its been a while since I drove on any of the provincial roads in Guateng, but I don't remember them being in superb condition. The National routes on the other hand were relatively decent.

I actually expect something to change, nothing inspires a politician more than a looming election, it was the same thing before the 2021 elections, all of a sudden a flurry of activity.

In all honesty, I expect many promises to be made, and speeches and all that...

But actual work on the ground, zero. Tenders take a while to organise you know.

Oi, we won't let you cut ties with us ffs...

But in all honesty, I think even in this little country that you want nothing to do with, there are many differences and some are insurmountable at times.... Sleeping on graves does quite literally signal a new low for just how fscking lazy municipal workers are.
