Untrained they would pose more danger to themselves, colleagues and as politicians would say "population at large" than criminals.

Show me the stats of how many innocent members of the community are victims of being shot by police compared to those who are shot by criminals, I am sure the numbers will close this argument, once and for all and prove just how much in danger we are from our own police than criminals.

But the Liberation Movement has been in charge since 1994, of the police? It was they who later destroyed their Scorpions for being too effective, where we have the dubious honor of having the head of Interpol and SA Police being arrested ... and many other great stories to tell.

What more do you want? Backup for Paddatjie next time he wants to go jump fences to go fight racists, like at Koetjies and Kalfies?

These kitskonstabel (:)) ideas have been around for a while in SA and haven't gone away, particularly in the face of SAPS seemingly becoming evermore dysfunctional. Hopefully they will improve the safety and security situation where they exist but let us see what the numbers say.
 
They failed to stop him getting elected but somehow they will be able to pass a successful motion of no confidence against him, funny bunch this ActionSA.

ActionSA in Joburg has threatened to table a motion of no confidence in executive mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda, should he fail to clarify details surrounding criminal allegations levelled against him.

This sort of publicity is a bit puzzling to me. How's this different than the ANC handing out food parcels and houses in some cases to coincide with election season? I mean the substation is funded with public money yet the DA are putting it on their party colours deliberately blurring the lines between government and party. It smells of hypocrisy on here.

The ANC is free to put switching stations they build on their party colours too.

Is this thing still dragging on? Surely by now all the 48 hours deadlines everyone was giving each other is way passed?

I just have a single question tho: how else will they be able to prove that they can govern if not show the successes/what they've done where they govern? Another difference is, usually close to the elections (within three months of elections), the ANC starts handing out **** left and right (like the parcels and houses).

Sure, if this only happened super close to the 2024 elections, then yeah, you have a solid argument. Otherwise...

Either it'll pass or the Doomsday higher-ups will force him to go like Amad. And then they'll appoint the last councillor Al Jama-ah has, as the new puppet mayor with PA support again. ASA and others will cry that DA didn't budge to PA... And so on...
