If he wants to be President one day then he better frog march them in front of the media and lay charges of assault against them himself.

He may have aspirations... but looks like their is a game afoot for him to be a DD Mabuza V2 - Hopefully ZA would make it easier ... returning him as member of the opposition after 2024 GE.

Doubt his frog marching them or not has any bearing on his presidential chances. These thugs who work as protectors are usually friends, family, cronies, etc of the principals as these are easy jobs to reward your friends.

Yeah, I also don't get what is he guilty of, it's definitely not the kind of attention he needs now, especially after the other allegations have surfaced.

Yip, this is not at all going to affect presidential chances. Was he even in the motocade and knew this was happening to stop it ? For example, did his car go through this incident and he ignored it ?

He is associated with it as its his detail involved so he can either be seen as a guy that travels around with thugs or a guy that uses professional people.

Yeah this is piss poor PR for him at this point, but he isn't actually guilty of anything.

If he wants to get "in front" of this and try limit the impact the best he can do is get a new protection detail, but we know that won't happen.

Was he part of the motorcade and if so, why did he do nothing to stop it?
