EFF doesn't approve of Gcaleka - who would have thunk.
EFF deputy leader Floyd Shivambu objected to Gcaleka succeeding Mkhwebane.

“Kholeka will never be the public protector of South Africa. The nominations mean absolutely nothing,” he said. “The decision to appoint a public protector needs [a] two-thirds majority of the National Assembly [and] Kholeka will never receive such. There are credible candidates in the final list. They will emerge.”

I think it was Knysna or somewhere where some DA councillors wrote a letter saying how disgusted they are and switched sides to ASA or someone and betrayed their voters.

What happened in that by-election?

I think that the acting title would make most people gun shy.

Do you think that George HW Bush, Dick Cheney or Kamala Harris would have been confident to use the nukes while their President was under anesthetic?

I doubt even the real president will be confident to use the nukes.

Anyway, isn't this how dictators are born?
